This is a Taric build I play whenever I play him and I usually get great results as long as my teammates aren't complete morons.

It's based around making him one of the most tank-like dps's I've ever seen. Since his attack regens mana, you don't need a ton of that but clarity helps out early game. His attack also cools down his heal which is really important for those big team fights, so added cool down reduction items make him able to heal about every 2 seconds while swinging. I don't usually get a lot of armor unless they start spamming armor pen or they are all melee based. If they are, get ninja tabi instead and thornmail not force of nature. You could also trade out wit's end for something that increases attack damage/speed...anything that's made from the BF Sword works, but the speed is nice as well.

Even against really heavy mage teams he can stand a chance because mages have no armor, and his w skill makes their health plummet. If you're fighting mages early game make sure to pick up merc treads immediately and wit's end pretty early.

Pretty much when you kill someone you're going to want to dazzle them to approach, shatter their armor and then turn on your ult and whack them repeatedly, stunning whenever the cooldown comes up and healing as needed. He's essentially unstoppable when you get his 6 item slots filled as his heal will come up every 2 seconds.
