Hey guyz. I am an old dota and hon player and

After purchasing Zed, I was a little bit disappointed;however, the more I play with Zed the more I dominate the games.
is a medicore burst champion with a versatile kit. I will simply explain how I dominate the games with Zed. I hope you like it.

Lore

Zed is the first ninja in 200 years to unlock the ancient, forbidden ways. He defied his clan and master, casting off the balance and discipline that had shackled him all his life. Zed now offers power to those who embrace knowledge of the shadows, and slays those who cling to ignorance.

An orphan, Zed was taken in and trained by a great ninja master. Only one other student appeared to be Zed's equal - the master's son, Shen. It seemed Zed could never win the favor of the master, as every match between the rivals ended in a draw. Frustrated and jealous, he sought an advantage. The young ninja ventured into a sealed part of the clan's temple, where he found an ornate, foreboding box. Sensing the dark knowledge within, Zed knew he should not open it, but he peered inside nonetheless. In an instant, shadows touched his mind, revealing techniques that had long been hidden. Now armed with a secret edge, he challenged Shen, and this time he defeated the master's son. He expected praise and recognition in his moment of victory, but somehow the master knew Zed had used forbidden ways, and banished him.
Humiliated, the young ninja wandered for years. His bitterness turned to ambition, and he began to train others in the style of the shadows. As his power grew, so did his circle of followers, but he knew that without the box, his technique would never be perfect. One day, Zed looked at his followers and saw that his students were now an army. He led them back to the temple to claim his prize. At the gates, he was surprised to find the old master waiting, receiving Zed and his disciples as if they were welcome guests. The old man laid his sword at Zed's feet, declaring that he had failed Zed as his master. By banishing his former student, the master had doomed Zed to the shadows, instead of leading him to the balanced path. The old man implored Zed to enter the temple, destroy the box, and lead his followers to balance. The dark ninja followed the master inside. Moments later, the assembled ninjas heard Zed cry out in pain. Mysteriously, he emerged unscathed, and threw the severed head of the master at Shen's feet. Screaming in rage, Zed commanded his followers to slaughter the master's students and seize the box.

That day, the old ninja order fell. Though many students died, some escaped thanks to Shen's heroic efforts. Now the temple is a dark training ground for the Order of the Shadow. Zed rules as the Order's master, and his edict is simple: perfect one's technique, and kill all ninjas who refuse to embrace the shadows.

"Balance is a lie - we are the true ninjas."

3xGreater Mark of Strength
6xGreater Mark of Desolation
9xGreater Seal of Resilience
9xGreater Glyph of Warding
3xGreater Quintessence of Desolation

Greater Mark of Strength
Since Zed is an offensive ninja, you need some extra damage to kill monsters in the jungle. All of Zed's skills scale wih AD and str marks will be useful at the very beginning. Very helpful with this mastery build. (9X FOR JUNGLE / 3X FOR TOP LANE)

Greater Mark of Desolation Greater Mark of Desolation

Some ArPen will help you to kill tanky enemy champions, especially at the top lane. ArPen is not necessary for jungling but I prefer to have some to ease my ganks. (TAKE ARPEN ONLY IF YOU ARE TOP LANE)

Greater Seal of Resilience

These are the common jungling seals. Among with the Hardiness mastery they will help you to survive.

Greater Glyph of Warding

By the time you start ganking, some magic resist will be helpful to survive while ganking APC champions.

Greater Quintessence of Strength

Same reason with the str marks. You need attack damage to clear jungle. Also they boosts W skill's passive bonus.

Abilities and Skills

Passive

Whenever Zed autoattacks an enemy below 50% health, he deals an additional 6 / 8 / 10% of their maximum health as magic damage. This effect cannot occur on the same target more than once every 10 seconds.

(Q) COOLDOWN: 6 COST: 75 / 70 / 65 / 60 / 55 Energy

ACTIVE: Zed and his shadows throw their shurikens, each dealing physical damage to the first enemy they pass through and a lesser amount to enemies thereafter.
DAMAGE TO FIRST TARGET: 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (100% bonus AD)
DAMAGE TO SECONDARY TARGETS: 60 / 88 / 116 / 144 / 172 (+80% bonus AD)

LIVING SHADOW: Additional shurikens striking the same enemy deal 50% damage and restore energy.

SHADOW SHURIKENS: 37.5 / 55 / 72.5 / 90 / 107.5 (+50% bonus AD)

(W) COOLDOWN: 22 / 20.5 / 19 / 17.5 / 16 COST: 40 / 35 / 30 / 25 / 20 Energy

PASSIVE: Zed's bonus attack damage is increased by a percentage.
ADDITIONAL BONUS AD: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25%
ACTIVE: Zed's shadow dashes forward, remaining in place for 4 seconds. Reactivating this ability will cause Zed to switch positions with this shadow.
Zed's shadow will mimic his basic abilities. If both strike the same target Zed regains some energy. Energy can only be restored once per mimicked ability.

(E) COOLDOWN: 3 COST: 50 Energy

ACTIVE: Zed and his shadows create a burst of shadow, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies.
Zed's slash reduces the cooldown of Living Shadow by 1 second for each enemy struck. His shadows' slashes slow enemies for 1.5 seconds.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+80% bonus AD)
SLOW: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40%

LIVING SHADOW: Overlapping Shadow Slashes striking the same enemy deal no additional damage but will incur an increased slow and restore energy.

OVERLAPPING SLOW: 30 / 37.5 / 45 / 52.5 / 60%

(R) COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80 COST: No cost

ACTIVE: Zed becomes untargetable and dashes to target enemy champion. Upon arrival, he marks the target for death and spawns a living shadow behind the target. This shadow lasts 4 seconds and mimics Zed's abilities. Reactivating Death Mark will cause Zed to switch positions with this shadow.
After 3 seconds, the mark will detonate, dealing physical damage equal to 100% of Zed's attack damage plus a percentage of all magic and physical damage dealt to the target by Zed and his shadows while the mark was active.

Masteries

TOP
Havoc instead of Vampirism. %1.5 damage is really not a big deal. 1.5 dmg for every 100 dmg? Really waste of mastery points. As a jungler or a laner Havoc is useless. Do NOT pick it. Vampirism which is %3 life steal is way more useful than it. Maybe some of you will say that Havoc + Executioner may work well together but it does NOT. Because giving 1 skill point for %6 extra dmg and 3 skill points for %1.5 extra dmg is two different things.

Also I prefer to get Sorcery instead of Deadliness and Lethality. Even though Zed goes out of energy easily, CDR is very useful to spam your E when both killing monsters and ganking champions. By the time game goes late, you can spam your E with your shadow 3 times. On the other hand, Zed is not a crit champion at all. So, Lethality is not useful by any means.

Items

Starting Items:

You can also start with but I don't suggest it.

JUNGLE

If you are not so familiar with jungling role, I suggest you to start with
and 5 X otherwise + 3 X

Early Game:
After completing first route buy a , it really helps to clean faster and life steal works quite well. Buying or completing your boots to first up to you. I prefer to complete my boots first.
After completing your boots according to enemy champions or , then you should get for sustain and to slow your enemies down.

Mid Game:
By now, I assume that you have fulfilled your role as a jungler and your team loves you. So you should not let them down and you have to survive by using your . Also, will help you to kill tanky champions a lot more easier. After that, your enemies will realize that you are a great threat to them so they will start to focus on you. To avoid that, you have to buy .

Late Game:
As the game continues, you will need some more help. So, upgrading your phate to will give you more sustain among with

Final Build:

TOP LANE
Early Game:
As I mentioned before CDR is very helpful to spam E. Among with the damage it provides the brutalizer is one of the core items to this build.

After completing your boots according to enemy champions or , then you should get for sustain and to slow your enemies down.

Mid Game:
Laning phase is over most likely and you have to make it out the team fights. is a great help to both surviving and giving damage. Besides this makes wonders against tanky champions.

Late Game:
. However if you feel like your enemies are no match for you, you should buy Triniry Force before . And you should end your build with . Other wise get , , Triniry Force and finish your build with .

Summoner Spells

SMITE
As a jungler you MUST have not to only clear jungle faster but also steal baron and dragon kills.

FLASH
This is the best summoner spell in the game. You can use it to jump over walls, escape from being ganked or even catching your preys.

ignite
Good for finishing off your enemies with low hp. Also, ignite is very useful against champions with high sustain like Yorick, Mundo, Chogath and etc.

GHOST
You can also pick ghost but I don't suggest it. Running faster is only useful in certain stiuations. Flash serves you way better to accomplish your goals.

Skill Sequence

Since you are a jungler, you have to support your team. For this reason you should not rush your one specific skill to maximum level.

If you max your Q first, you will see that your jungle clearing time will drastically increase.

If you max your W first, you will see that you won't fulfill your role as a jungler.

If you max your E first, you will see that you won't be able to gank successfully.

So, your skill sequence should be like that:

Level 1: Shadow Slash
Level 2: Living Shadow
Level 3: Shadow Slash
Level 4: Razor Shuriken
Level 5: Razor Shuriken
Level 6: Death Mark
Level 7: Living Shadow
Level 8: Razor Shuriken
Level 9: Living Shadow
Level 10: Shadow Slash
Level 11: Death Mark
Level 12: Shadow Slash
Level 13: Living Shadow
Level 14: Shadow Slash
Level 15: Razor Shuriken
Level 16: Death Mark
Level 17: Razor Shuriken
Level 18: Living Shadow

Skill Order

While clearing jungle, you should fight together with your shadow. So, send your shadow(W) first and kill the monsters with E standing together with your shadow.

W-E-Q-E

While ganking, send your shadow(W) to your enemy and hit (E) to slow them. Then hit (W) again to swap yourself with your shadow. And then use (Q) and (E) again.

W-E-W-Q-E

If you are in a position to intiate with your ulti:

Team Fights

Zed is a medicore burst champion and a little bit weak at team fights. You have to position yourself very carrefully. Do NOT forget you are a NINJA! Don't reveal yourself to your enemies, because you have to reach their main carry with almost fuill HP. Zed is very squishy and believe me no one likes enemy ninjas. They will kill you on sight. So, after your tank intiates, jump on to enemy carry with your ulti. Complete your combo and get away from them. Wait until you get %70 energy and attack your SQUISHY enemies again. Do NOT bother yourself with TANKS.

Jungling

1)Wolves
2)Blue golem
3)Wraiths
4)Wolves
5)Red golem
After taking red buff:
If you have more than %50 hp, go gank the bot lane or the mid lane.
If you dont have enough hp, go back to your base and gank the bot lane or the mid lane.

Try to leave kills to your carries. Do NOT forget, your job is to ASSIST your team to make them stronger. Your job is NOT farming. You should help your team mates all the time but do not waste your time while wating for a gank. If you can gank, just go in. If you can not gank, do NOT wait.

Some Tips for Jungle

1) Try to leave kills to your carries.
2) Buy wards to prevent counter-jungling.
3) Buy wards to counter enemy jungler.
4) If you see an enemy ganking a lane and you are close to them, go help your team mates.
5) If you see an enemy ganking a lane and you are far from them, go steal their jungle monsters.
6) If you steal their monsters, leave the weak ones alive. So, their jungler can't farm.
7) Tell your team mates about your plans.
8) PING before ganking.
9) If you see an enemy champion pushed a lane, go gank him.
10) Keep an eye on the mini map ALL THE TIME.
11) Prefer to gank SQUISHY champions. Do NOT focus on SUPPORTS and TANKS.
12) If the dragon is up, try to kill it ASAP.
