This is blitzcrank's hardest counter, his best tool is his Q and morgana's spell shield completely negates any attempts to use it.
Zyra
Zyra is a threat for pretty much the same reasons as brand, just better and more painful for blitzcrank
Brand
Brand is a pretty big threat to blitz as his poke and zoning keeps blitzcrank from being able to set up his hooks while also dealing massive damage to blitz
Yuumi
Yuumi does fairly well against blitz as she can easily heal away the intital all in attempts, just never try to hook yuumi and focus entirely on the adc and you'll be fine.
Nami
Nami does terrible against blitzcrank, while she can poke you, she has absolutely no way to escape the all in attempts.
Alistar
Alistar and Blitzcrank do a lot of the same things but while alistar is tankier, blitzcrank has more kill potential, it is often decided by the adc on who comes on top
Bard
Bard my not have a lot of escape tools, but his stun and his ult can negate your all in attempts and his damage can put you in a really bad spot.
Braum
Braum's shield does nothing to protect him from your hooks. Braum has very little ability to escape and the only thing to watch out for is his slows and stuns
Galio
NEVER HOOK GALIO WHILE HE'S CHARGING HIS W. It will taunt both you and your adc, and secure both your deaths.
Heimerdinger
While Heimerdinger support is not that good, Heimerdinger ADC is a terrifying threat to blitz as he can and will poke you out of lane and block your hooks with his turrets.
Janna
When playing against Janna, you'll want to bully her before level 6, after level 6 she can negate your hooks with her ult.
Karma
The only thing you have to watch out for with karma is her poke, she has no way to escape your all in's so she almost always loses.
Leona
Leona is really strong right now as she doesn't take a lot of damage and she can throw your cc straight back at you.
Lulu
Lulu has no way to escape your cc, the only thing you have to watch out for is her polymorph and her ult, which will cc you and make you very vulnerable.
Lux
Lux is rediculously squishy and once you hook her, it is very hard for her to live without good peel.
Nautilus
Nautilus has a slightly longer cc train than you but once you take out his adc, there's nothing he can do.
Pyke
Pyke deals very minimal damage to you as your tankiness negates his lethality, you should watch out for his hook and his ult though as those can secure a death.
Rakan
If Rakan is with Xayah, he can very easily escape your cc and fire straight back with his own, the main thing that makes this even is that he is very squishy.
Senna
While Senna may be squishy, her cc and her damage output are completely ridiculous and you should make sure to watch out for her poke
Sona
Sona's lack of mobility and low amount of cc make her a prime hook target.
Soraka
Soraka loses against blitz for the same reasons as sona but her heals are stronger, making it harder to kill the adc.
Swain
Swain's amount of poke and lifesteal make him a terrifying champion to play against, after level 6 you lose almost every fight no matter what.
Taric
If Taric notices your hook before it hits him, he can easily stun you and use his ult to make him invincible.
Thresh
Blitz and Thresh do essentially the same thing, neither of them really can get a better lead. It all comes down to who is the better player

Varus
Varus does incredible with blitz as not only does his ult lock people in place, making it easier to hit a hook, but his early game strength matches blitzcrank's

Tristana's early game damage, coupled with her ability to all in, perfectly compliments blitzcrank's all in potential and power.

One of Blitzcrank's strongest points is his early game. Blitzcrank has the incredible power to engage the enemy without putting himself right into the battle. You'll normally want to save Blitzcrank's hook in the early game in order to make completely certain you'll hit a hook. Blitzcrank's hook has a really long cooldown early game (20 seconds with no CDR) so if you use his hook aimlessly, you won't be as strong in fights for a long while.
