I used them once, and my damage was lower than with AP marks.
Nope.
Only scenario that is possible is when you have reached level 18 and your opponents still don't build an ounce of MR.
Mpen marks are mandatory on any high magic damage champion build, and are even more important on champions who don't scale well with AP. Any talk of leaving them out is stuff and nonsense.
the mpen in the masteries and in the Blacktorch were enough, because I hardly see somebody building M Res in that map´.
