Saying you're gold 1 vs someone who's silver 1 against an argument that actually makes sense is pretty silly.

People at diamond and challenger always get sightstone earlier. You're gold 1 and you say aegis first is better and you're a soraka main.

Who has more credentials? I mean if you want to bring out leagues here I can totally diss you for writing a suboptimal guide, being at a higher rank. The reason why I don't though is because it's rude and offensive to many.

It's not even about pulling rank, it's the fact that he dismisses a huge wall of text that must have taken Mowen some time and effort to write with one rude sentence. I don't care if you're completely right about something or you're a diamond player talking to a bronze player, when someone makes the effort to give you a ton of constructive criticism you don't have to agree with them but you can damn well make the effort to respond politely and explain why you think you're right. If you can't do that then don't reply at all, or better yet don't write a guide in the first place.

@OP, seems like the only reason your guide is approved in solomid is because it's been up forever and people likely stopped voting. You don't even seem to talk on the guide discussion. Why bother hosting the guide on different websites if you don't talk about it there, or just act like an ***hat here?


@Jhoi, my MMR is actually just high due to duoQ'ing with Berzerk in 90% of my ranked games. If it was their MMR being low I'd only get 1 or two of them a game and not an entire team of them against me. And honestly no one should really "pull rank", cause it makes you seem like an ******* (even if you're right). And ask any other high elo person on the site and they'll tell you that plat and gold is still pretty much noobland, which I agree, as Im in it.

OTG, just because you play with/against plats in Gold V doesn't mean you are playing with worthy plats. You're probably playing with plats who have such terrible MMR that they get put in your games. I think saying D4 is the only time you can pull rank is silly. If you really think no one has skill or ability before D4 in order to "pull rank", I don't know what to say.

Cox: Good for you. Unfortunately, I agree with pretty much all the criticism in the prior comments. It seems that as a Soraka main, you get away with just playing really well mechanically, but have no knowledge of what would be necessary for people who don't play Soraka to do well. Which is not what you show in the cheat sheet.

There really isn't. I play against Plats when I play ranked anyway. It really doesn't feel different than it did in silver.

TL;DR Unless you're diamond 4+ I dont think "pulling rank" works.

I think there's a big difference between Gold V and Gold I.

It has nothing to do with Mowen. Its the difference between being known by the mass population of mobafire (IE; no one cares when Duff says that stuff or when Throatslasher berates someone), and not being well known (This guy says something similar, and as a random user no one really cares about, he will get flamed and hatred for anything he does afterwards)

On a side note, being gold doesnt make you very good tbh.. I'm gold too and I still feel like I suck.

I mean no offense to anyone, but when Duff was all like, "I'm xxx elo, I don't listen to scrubs" and "get on my level of xxx, then I'll read your comment" and "you're xxx elo, your opinion doesn't count", everyone was fine with it. But as soon as Mowen is "attacked" for being low elo, the masses arise.

Dunno what happend here, but quite a big influence on 1 comment/response if it went down from 80%.
Can't judge from the contest, but cheat sheet is way off from 80% imo.

Kinda sad to make the work go in waste, but somewhat deserved tough for such attitude, answer and not listening to constructive feedback.
