You will want Armor Marks and Seals to maximize your damage reduction early game. Coupled with your passive and the defense masteries this provides a lot of protection.

You will want the MR runes because you have very little naturally. With these when mid and the jungle start ganking your lane you will be able to take a couple hits.

The quints are really personal choice, however I reccommend the Gold Per Quints as you will need the money. Combined with your Gold per from masteries and items this will give you quite a large amount of gold.

These masteries are pretty straight forward.

I strongly recommend going at least this far in the defense tree. This setup will make you really hard to kill.

You might be wondering why I took mana biscuit/ward. The reason behind this is that you need a filler to get to pick pocket. The ward allows you to invade the enemy jungle or ward bush at start instead of face check. The biscuit is actually pretty useful as it lets you tank for your jungler in his first camp. This makes a very large difference to most junglers in the new jungle.

You should always geton your first back. The Gold Per from this item will really make your laning phase muck smoother. As a bonus this item keeps your mana up very well. You can finish this out into a when you get to Level 15.

After this its really your choice how to proceed. Try to see what the enemy team comp is and what they are building and try to keep up with resistances according to that.

There really isn't a lot of option here. If you want to do anything with your harass you need to level your Q first. However, if you are getting rocked then I would switch to your Lantern instead.

Since you have no real escape tool for yourself I would highly advise taking flash as one of your spells.

The other spell I prefer is exhaust. However, heal or teleport can be just as good.

I wouldn't recommend any other spells.
