Trundle Passive Ability
Introduction
This guide will be about Trundle - The trolling Troll (King).
Trundle can tank several enemys at the same time - if played right. His sustain allows him to clear our the jungle way more efficient than other junglers. His passive gives him 2/3/4/5/6% of their maximum health when dying. (This counts for minions and neutral monster only, Baron and Dragon included). Imagine you are doing Baron with your Teammates, and they see you there and prepare for a Teamfight. You health is about half and they want to focus you because you tank baron. You smite Baron and get a huge amount of Health back and Ulti the AD Carry. BAM teamfight won.
Anyway, Trundle is one of my favorite champs and I played him quite often. That's why I wanted to create a guide about him so you guys can also rock with him the way I do.
Cheers!
PS: I`m german, so don`t blame me for typos my keyboard made cuze it`s german aswell!
These runes help you last hit and give you a little boost of your attack damage which is really good because they proc with your Chomp. You can replace the attack damage runes also with these:
greater mark of armor penetration
for more armor penetration. Reminder: Armor penetration marks are more effective than attack damage marks after level 4.
I like to use these runes for a nice armor boost if you are facing an AD Champion.
If you are facing an AP Champion, these runes give a little more sustain. They can also be exchanged with scaling magic resist per level. But I prefer flat magic resist runes.
greater quintessence of armor penetration
I recommend to use these runes for the extreme armor penetration boost, which helps you to win trades. If you are facing a really tanky champ, for example Malphite or Rammus, who rely on armor, these runes should help you to burst them down even faster.
The armor penetration quints can be replaced with
for an additional attack boost.
I choose 21/9/0 to get the full damage burst potential out of Trundle, aswell as some sustain, which helps him fight more champions at the same time, I mean let's face it: You can't kill that troll.
Starting Items:
+
Start off with these items to get an early advantage against your enemy. Another option is also:
+ + sight ward
to get some movement speed to dodge enemys skillshots better.
First time back:
+ + + sight ward
Buy the boots only if you didn't buy them as a start item.
Now you have some life steal which procs perfectly with your frozen kingdom.
Rush for:
+
Blade of the Ruined King gives you AS aswell as life steal which both procs with frozen kingdom. The Ninja Tabi give you a lot of armor as well as damage reduction from champion and minions. After you get these items, you should build some tanky items aswell.
Now build:
+
Frozen Mallet gives you a huge amount of life and Atma's Impaler some armor and critical strike chance, as well as some attack damage. Now that you got some life and armour, it's time to build some magic resist if you have AP scaling champions in the enemy team.
Later get:
+
Maw of Malmortius provides an awesome magic shield if you fall lower than 30% life, which absorbs to 350 magical damage. This is also nice to get if you are facing Garen. This item will counter his Demacian Justice.

PASSIVE
Range:1000
Whenever an enemy unit near Trundle dies, he heals for 2/3/4/5/6% of their maximum health.
I love this passive because it gives Trundle some awesome sustain.
Q-Spell
Cooldown: 4 seconds
Cost: 30 Mana
Trundle enhances his next basic attack, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+120% total AD) physical damage and slowing its target by 75% for 0.1 seconds.
This attack increases Trundle's attack damage by 20/25/30/35/40 for 8 seconds, with his opponent losing half of this amount for the same duration.
Chomp is one of the best skills ingame in my opinion. Short CD, great burst and awesome passive. Increases your damage and reducing your opponends. That makes him very strong in a 1vs1 fight. Due to his low cooldown, he is able to apply it on another champ when getting ganked so they both do less damage.
frozen kingdom W-Spell
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Cost: 60 Mana
Range: 900
Trundle coats a target 1000-radius location with ice for 8 seconds, gaining 20/25/30/35/40% bonus movement speed, 20/35/50/65/80% attack speed, and 8/11/14/17/20% increased healing and regeneration from all sources while he is on it.
frozen kingdom is an excellent spell to chase/escape enemys, aswell for fighting due to the extra amount of attack speed and healing. With life steal he can face champs with huge life steal, like Aatrox, without any problems.
E-Spell
Cooldown: 23/20/17/14/11 seconds
Cost: 60 Mana
Range: 1000
Trundle creates an icy pillar at a target location for 6 seconds, creating an impassable terrain and slowing all enemy units by 25/30/35/40/45% around the pillar for .25 seconds. The slow duration is refreshed if enemies stay within the area around the pillar. Enemies caught in the center of the eruption are briefly knocked back.
This spell is also awesome for chasing/escaping. Just put the Pillar of Ice infront/behind and enemy and his way is blocked. Also, if placing the pillar in a brush, it gives you vision for the whole duration. This is good if you are doing red buff (early game) and you are afraid of a counter jungler like Lee Sin. But the big thing is, it can split up the team in a teamfight. So if they are close together, just pop up this huge pillar in between them and pick out the AD/AP carry and kill him.
R-Spell
Cooldown: 80/70/60 seconds
Cost: 75 Mana
Range: 700
Trundle drains 20/24/28% (+2% per 100AP) of an enemy champion's max health as magic damage and 40% of their armor and magic resist, half immediately and half over 4 seconds. The armor and magic resist bonus/reduction lasts for 4 seconds after it has been fully applied.
What can I say, life drain, armor and magic resist reduction that last over 8 seconds. Perfect for a 1vs1 situation, but also good in a teamfight. Just apply this ultimate on the tank to get most out of the damage and armor/magic resist reduction. Due to the long duration it will last untill you killed the AD/AP carry (hopefully).

I'm living in China so I'm playing on the chinese LoL server.
And here in China, Trundle seems to be a totally useless champ. Sometimes when I pick Trundle for Solo Top or jungle, people leave the champion selection because of me. They say: Surrender at 20, we got a troll. Or: Wow we got trolled. Someone leave!
It makes me laugh everytime due to the fact that he actually is a troll. But still, I don't know why they never played Trundle before. He is a very good champ to play with and a hard champ to play against.
