- Udyr Wilding Claw top lane can shut down many bruisers such as Irelia, Olaf, Jax, Lee Sin AND Gangplank and many more due to his extra damage on Wilding Claw sustain on Iron Mantle and Utility on Blazing Stampede. Making it hard to exchange against him.

-Although Jungling might be best for him since his Wingborne Storm makes him one of the fastest junglers in the game also he can counter jungle extremely well, his ganking capabilities aren't that great. You have to run towards them to do anything w/o red your ganks are not always successful. Unless your teammate has some sort of stun or any other CC for the gank to work.

I went all Greater Marks Of Strength and Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage to capitalize his amazing laning power!

-Start up feel free to grab Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potion if you feel like you will be harassed during early game. Picking up Wriggle's Lantern for extra armor/ward/sustain[/color] could also work if you need help during laning phase. With this item build you are an offtank with an amazing chasing ability and you just shred your enemy's health with your Q.

-If you don't need Randuin's Omen feel free to grab Madred's Bloodrazor for extra dmg output.

Maxing out your Q for your main damage output. Next W for sustain/shield etc.

-Only max out W first if you need sustain in lane.

Ignite - Extremely good during Laning Phase and finishing off your enemies.
Exhaust - I recommend using since it is good throughout the whole game.
Ghost - Always good since you need to chase or get up close to your enemies.
Flash - Amazing spell. You can initiate with it. Using Flash+ Blazing Stampede on enemy carries can sometimes grab you a kill.
Teleport - If you want more presence on other lanes.

Pros:

-Dominates top lane.
-Barely any counter against you.
-Amazing damage early/mid game.
-Tanky.
-Ignored in team fights.
-Amazing chase abilities.
-Good sustain.

Cons:

-Damage falls off late game.
-Easily kited.
-Rely's on team to follow up a fight.
-Needs to be up close and personal.

Play play passively using your Iron Mantle to soak up some Damage also to heal. But don't use it too much to a point you don't have enough mana to win an exchange. Just farm up until you see a chance to use your Blazing Stampede and Wilding Claw on an the enemy. You are always guarantee to win an exchange!

You have to go in first most of the time. Go straight for there carries stun them long enough for your team to follow up don't worry about switching stance stay on bear if you can stun their AD and Ap carries. Use your randuins once you are in range.

Try not to eat all of his Q after he activates them just run away wait for the activation skill to wore off and fight him. Or when he is out of mana.

There is no counter to top Udyr after 4. Although champions like Yorick can be annoying however, a good Udyr would just max out his Iron Mantle if he needed to soak up some damage or to heal up.
