Now that I have your attention I will be mentioning a few word before writing the actual guide.
This guide was never meant for being a pro/ranked game guide with detailed description on item picks, masteries and runes but more a detailed guide of how to play another version of Nidalee and what to be aware of. I will also mention a few tricks that can be useful even to the pro's out there and of course I will be going over the basic things that you might have forgotten everything about and last I will explain why those basics are so damn important for every game. Remember it's never the champions fault but the person behind the screen who didn't remember the basics.
IEM New York 3rd Place: Counter Logic Gaming vs. Sypher - Game One
Team 1 Nidalee is for Solo Top or Mid
Nidalee 1: Just want try out Nidalee? Use this Build as it gives your more survivability
Nidalee 2: This build is for the more alternative Nidalee player who has mastered the art of escaping difficult situation and also know how to hit with

Team 2 Nidalee is still Work In Progress and will be for support/duo lanes

Pros / Cons

Alternative to
Banshee's Veil:

Remember you heal right? [Primal Surge] The attack speed stacks.
More importantly the AP increases your heal too.
The only thing you have to remember with this item is that you should spam "W" in cougarfarm all the time to refresh 8 stacks.
By starting with
Needlessly Large Rod you will give the enemies squizy champs a heart attack next time you hit with
Javelin Toss / Takedown (Spear)
As soon you have Rabadon's you can actually 2 hit a squizy champion as
Vayne
After that its all about keeping up that fact that you Spear hurts like ****.
With this build you will even be a threat to some tanks and if you're a pro at hitting you can take them down with 5 hits.
First of all before upgrading think about. Have i need for boots right now or should I get that huge AP increase from
Needlessly Large Rod first
Second you will have to think about. Do I need
Sorcerer's Shoes or
Mercury's Treads boots (Do the enemy have magic resist runes or are there lots of stunners?)
A situational type of boots would be
Ionian Boots of Lucidity if you really are hunted by chasers, but I rarely see anybody with boots on Nidalee anymore (works great if you like to stay in cougarform though)
Here's a few items I would suggest other than

How to activate smartcast in LoL?
Ingame press "ESC" to open the menu - Locate key-bindings in the options menu, and then scroll down until you see smartcast, and change the binds to "q" "w" "e" "r".
(Remember to change the keybinds for normal cast to something else - Most Champions are great with smartcast but on a champion like
Ashe,
Lux and Ezrael you might want to at least have normal cast on the Ultimate (I keybinded that to "4" as its just above "r")

BUT SERIOUSLY!!! JUST LEARN TO USE SMARTCAST WITH NIDALEE!!!
Either the button breaks or you erase the letter "W"
If you have managed to do that you know that you have been playing Nidalee to much!!!
(For the confused out there... you have to be in cougar form ^^)
Basically press "W" when you need to run/chase/escape everytime it gets of CD. It makes your run faster
(Remember though that there are certain places where you can jump over walls with Nidalee - Time your jumps right and you can escape almost everything using those walls)
(Wall Locations will be posted later in this guide)

The Golden word in this commercial is "Der Kommer Spyd!!!" Which translated from "Danish" means "Spears Incomming" have fun watching
The commercial is about helping Local Sport Activities to get better terms when practicing.
The soccer players are sharing their area with the Spear Throwers, which is why they keep looking for spears. Last in the commercial they have hit the Soccer Player's football and their coach says: Thx for this season guys, cya.

Sexy Female [Q]: JAVELIN (USE THIS TO KILL)
Cute Kitty [Q]: Your Main dmg in Cougar form (use this to dmg when you chase)
Sexy Female [W]: Trap at will. Use this where you usually use wards and where ppl walk to get map control
Cute Kitty [W]: Jump Escape - Spear - Jump Chase - Kill
Sexy Female [E]: Heal your wounds and your allies
Cute Kitty [E]: Farm Ability. (Usually you can jump to the ranged minions and use E and they die instantly)
Sexy Female [R]: Transforms you into Cute Kitty

There are lots of tricks you can do with bushes while playing with Nidalee. Try out your own ideas.

Work in Progress...
The question is... should I help or should I snipe?
First of all ask yourself... how important is your presence for the teamfight.
Are you 4 against 5... then maybe you should come and aid with your heals instead of sniping. Then again somebody is on 20%HP... A well placed javelin is a sure kill. Its all about situation awareness. You should try experimenting with this and eventually you get the hang of it.
Here is a few tip for starters.
So the enemy is pushing and you have got the feeling that you need to be there just in case your allies need a heal. What else to do?....
First of all. Ask yourself do I have mana for other stuff than just heal.
If yes you should place traps in front of the tower and be ready to snipe anybody who gets close enough. Remember even your trap deals damage.
(When you throw your javelin try to get out of sight by going into the jungle so they don't see the javelin before its to late.)
Again ask yourself. Are you needed for the push or can your team handle itself?
If you are needed for the push don't worry about healing until its really needed. Instead try snipe those cowards that are hiding in tower range. If you got allies like Akali or Noctourne its perfect for a gank if you just hit 1 time. (Remember to heal them as soon they start the gank)
You realize that your team can handle the push/defense themselves and you could either go for red/blue buff to get that extra advantages. Now go into the jungle and start sniping at will on your enemy.
There are only few things to remember here.
1. Snipe on max range (read javelin description if you wonder why)
2. Snipe only on targets you know you can hit (They will know you're trying to snipe as soon they see the first javelin and keep aware of future sniping attempts.)
2.1 - Try to move around so your Javelin comes from different angles. The enemy will most likely expect the javelin to come from the same angle as first time they saw it.
3. Give priority to which target that should die to your Javelin.
3.1 - Squizy Champion are usually the most dangerous targets and you want to get rid of them
3.2 - Supports can really turn the game around. You want to kill them too (remember you're also a support champion)
I'm not gonna tell you this twice (Lies) so read carefully:
Sight Ward's you remembered them right. At any time you should bring at least 2 wards with you.
Blue Dots are the location of where Blue teams wards should be placed
Purple Dots are the location of where Purple teams ward should be placed
Tip: Take notice of Trap Marks aswell (place them exactly where the mark are on the map and the enemy will have to run over them if they want to reach you (Only use this option of you're out of wards, but do also use traps if you have wards)

What you can jungle on the kitty cat?...
Actually you can... but I wouldn't recommend it and I will definitely not write a guide about how to fail with it ;) - ... Just DON'T!!! it was great in the earlier days, but now there are better junglers and you should leave jungle for them.
Why make this section then?
Well farming on Nidalee is the core for having succes. Blue buff and Red buff leads to insane poking which will make every teamfight much easier for your team. - Always remember to ask for permission to take red buff as there might be somebody who needs it more than you. Else you can always go for the opponent teams buffs.
How to deal with farming in the jungle?
Never farm the jungle in human form. Always start out with jumping into the minions ("W") and then use your "E" - right after it's just all about spamming "Q" "W" "E" when they get off CD and that's the basic about how to farm with Nidalee. A great thing to do when your want blue or red buff is to Heal yourself right after you have used all your damaging abilities in cougarform. The Heal does not only heal your but increase your attack speed which will make your kill the Golem/Lizard faster. Right after you healed yourself switch back into cougar form and repeat the process.
