Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello everyone, My name is Chris but on the summoners rift I go by T2 Impact. I started playing league of legends at the start of Season 3 and I came in Bronze 1 after my placement matches, after a month or so I made my way up to silver and I stayed in silver until season 4 where I climbed up to Gold 4. I hope my Vayne guide will help you and feedback will be greatly appreciated as this is my first guide.
Pros / Cons
+ High duelling potential allowing split-pushing
+ Invisibility with Tumble if Final Hour is activated
+ Late game hyper-carry
+ High Mobility
+ High Skill Cap
+ True Damage prevents Vayne from falling off if she gets behind
- Weak laning phase
- Short range (550)
- Hard to master
- Hard to use Condemn Properly
Taking 2x Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed are really strong on ADCs right now. They synergise especially well with Vayne as it helps her to proc her Silver Bolts. I take 1x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage for the damage and I go 9X Greater Mark of Attack Damage for more AD. 9x Greater Seal of Armor since it is very strong with flat armor on any Marksman. and 9x Greater Glyph of Magic Resist for magic resist vs AP supports and enemy mid/top-laners or junglers that are AP.
Going 21/9/0 is very strong in Season4.
This is a very good mastery page as it has everything Vayne Needs. Feast was buffed in Patch 4.5 and now makes up for the sustain lost by taking Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed instead of Greater Quintessence of Life Steal
The first core item for vayne is Blade of the Ruined King. Some people like going The Bloodthirster as first item but I find Blade of the Ruined King way better. Blade of the Ruined King Is a very good item on Vayne because it provides everything she needs. It gives you lifesteal for sustain, and AD for increased damage and the attack speed helps her to proc her Silver Bolts. The active offered by Blade of the Ruined King is also extremely helpful and is a large contributing factor to Vayne's early/mid-game duelling potentional.
Phantom Dancer is an extremely strong item on Vayne. It increases attack speed, which helps to proc her Silver Bolts, as well as increasing critical change by a substantial amount (increasing her Damage per second (DPS)) Phantom Dancer is prominent for being a very high single target DPS item and Vayne's Silver Bolts augments this damage significantly.
Vayne's third core item is Last Whisper, with the meta being as it is; having a tanky Jarvan IV stacking armour in toplane and a Rammus stacking armour in the jungle, Last Whisper is a vital buy. Buying Infinity Edge as your third item will increase your damage to squishy targets such as the enemy Marskman and Mid-laner, in team fights you're going to be spending A LOT more time kiting the enemy top-laner and jungler which is why it is vital to buy Last Whisper instead of Infinity Edge
Doran's Blade and a Health Potion should always be your starting items as it provides good sustain and damage. As far as trinket goes the Warding Totem is currently the best for ADCs during the early game.
Blade of the Ruined King can be replaced by The Bloodthirster if the enemy team is not stacking HP. If you're against a team like this Riven Twisted Fate Master Yi Annie The Bloodthirster would be a much better buy than Blade of the Ruined King
Your Condemn will add another stack of your Silver Bolts when used. This means that you can autoattack, use your Tumble and then your Condemn to pull off a fast combo which also knocks the enemy Marksman back making him/her unable to trade back damage.
Tumble is an auto-attack reset, but if used against a wall there will be no cast time making it an instant auto-attack reset. This will be helpful in clearing jungle camps and taking Baron and Dragon aswell.
When trading auto-attacks with the enemy marksman make sure to auto-attack, and then Tumble. Try not to use Tumble as your first attack as you're missing out on the auto-attack reset.
Vayne Is a hyper-carry with a lot of potentional but is hard to master. Her early game is a bit weak and she has short range but her skill cap is very high. Her high DPS and high mobility combine to make her one of the most potent late-game ADCs.
