hello my dear readers and welcome to my Veigar guide where i will explain how to play Veigar. what items, runes and masteries you need to take.
ofcourse you do not have to follow this build, it is just here to help you play Veigar and maby inspire you to make your own builds. I put a fair amount of effort into this guide, so I hope you wil like it. And above all, thank you for taking the time to read this Veigar guide
Pros / Cons
+ he is one of the best damage dealers in game
+ his ap has no limit
+ has a hard stun with Event Horizon
+ good last hitter
+ good mid farmer
+ he has an ulitmate ( Primordial Burst) that makes nearly every ap mid champ melt
- early game a bit squishy
- only defend is Event Horizon and has a verly long cooldown
- long cooldowns until your lvl 16 - 18
- needs a solo lane farm his Baleful Strike
MasteriesArcane Knowledge and Executioner .
these two masteries give you a very high amount of damage early and late game.
in the defense tree the Resistance and the Hardiness make you a bit more sustain agains your enemy.
Greater Mark of Mana Regeneration
Greater Seal of Health
Greater Glyph of Ability Power
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power
Veigar his runes are a realy important. he needs his runes to stay alive, deal nice amounts of damage and stay in his lane for a long time.
first of all his marksgreater mark of replenishment
these marks give you a additiolan 2.34 mana regen staking nice with Doran's Ring.
early game it gives you lots of mana regen with Equilibrium.
then next the seals
these are used for a very simple purpose, staying alive.
it gives you a good amount of health to stay longer in your lane.
now the glyphs
just as your quintessence these are used for your damage. it gives you a high advantage agains your enemy, you will dominate your lane.
last but not least, the quintessence
same as the glyph these quint's are used for there great amount of ap
these spels are very importent for Veigar. first of all Flash, Veigar has no escape spells and the only way to defend himself is Event Horizon. this spell is top priority and you should always take it.
secont Ignite. this a great spell for last hitting someone or to counter Fiddlesticks or Vladimir.
and Teleport if you do not like to use Ignite. or if you are afraid of losing your lane this spell should help you out.
if you do not like Flash, ghosht is a great replacement for this. it makes you able to escape and chase down enemy's. however sinse Veigar his base movement speed is not so high, Ghost is not that effective in that way.
Clarity is always a usefull spel. in need of mana Clarity always helps you out.
Heal is a very usefull spel. it wil save your hide many times in the game. however this spel wil become pretty useles after you get Hextech Revolver.
i realy like this abilitie order for Veigar because after all he is a heavy ap carry.
this order makes you dealing lots of damage and keeping your enemy at place with Event Horizon.
im giving my Event Horizon some skill points more to keep my enemys in place for Dark Matter. this wil also help your jungler, making the ganks for him mutch more easy.
1. Equilibrium. this passive makes Veigar stay for a very long time in lane. and it makes you allows you to last hit with your baleful stike.
2. Baleful Strike. is a very usefull ability. evry last hit will grant you 1 extra ability power permanently. and if you will kill a champion of any source of damage, you will gain 1/2/3/4/5 extra ability power. also permanently. make sure you will last hit minions with it. it give you a high advantide agains your enemy's.
Doran's Ring is one of the best starting items Veigar could take. he is a realy squishy champion and the extra hp makes you able to take damage that otherwise would be lethal.
the 15 ap extra is realy good for the extra damage you get. and the 5 mana regen makes you stay long enough in lane to let your jungler give you the blue buff.
