Introduction
I take 9/21/0 masteries with as much health in the defensive tree, as this scales extreemly well with Vi's passive. In the offensive tree I take the attack speed for Denting Blows as this is your main damage output lategame. The attack damage per level and the armor-penetration for more lategame damage.
I always start jungling with the wolves camp and follow it with the blue buff. Make sure you have help though otherwise only do the blue buff. 2 times Excessive Force is enough to kill the 2 smaller wolves and have an Excessive Force up when you start blue. After blue you can easily gank a lane with your Vault Breaker which acts like a flash and a knockback in one. After ganking one lane try to see if you can gank another lane. If not return to wolves(which will have respawned) kill them, take wraiths, red buff, and see if you can gank again. Then rinse and repeat. Also if your midchamp has mana ask him/her to make Athene's unholy Grail so he/she doenst need blue buff to sustain in lane.
After trying many different builds and items I finally found then following items to be the most effective if your tanking.
First Items
- boots
- 3 health potions
I start with this for mobility and sustain.
Early game
- Frozen Mallet
- Boots of Swiftness
After ganking and farming jungle early game I always rush Frozen Mallet and Boots of Swiftness. With FM and BoS you will stick to who ever you gank. Making sure that nobody escapes you. Also the early life of FM will buff Vi's Passive so early game you cant really be killed.
Mid game
- Zephyr
- Spirit Vissage/Atma's Impaler
Zephyr is one of the most OP items in the game for Vi, not only does it give 50% AS for Denting Blows it also gives 20 AD, 10% movement speed, 10% CdR and most importanly Tenacity.
After Zephyr I either build Spirit Vissage or Atma's Impaler, depending on the enemy team composition. If their ADC is fed I first go for Atma's. And if their AP carry is fed I first go for Spirit Vissage.
Late game
- Warmog's Armor
- Alacrity Enchantment
Warmog's and Spirit Vissage passives go extreemly well together giving you insane health regen. Furthermore your total health shall be around 4K, meaning you cant go down in 2 or 3 hits.
The enchantment can be purchased when you feel your not fast enough to get around.
