Viktor has amazing burst and I have played him sucsessfully both in top and in mid lane. the trick is to rush AP and poke away with death ray.

Viktor is a realy fun champion to play. It takes time to master his Death ray however he has amazing lane control and his ult is just amazing in team fights. I build viktor as a pure AP monster with a small amount of HP buffing becasue you will be focused! Heal is in my opinion optional. I like to take it so you can feign being low on HP then do your combo, heal and dominate.

Start with doran's ring as in mid mid lane you should not over extend instead poke away with death ray building you creep score. As soon as you reach 1000 gold push your lane and return to purchase Augment:Death.

As soon as your ultimate is up you want to intiate a gank hopefully with the asiastance of your jungler.

When initiating use W,R,E,Q. So you trap the target champ then then use your ult then death ray followed by power transfer. you want to initate after you have the target champ on about half hp to be sucsessfull at this stage.

If sucsessfull return and continue the build. If you are losing lane then get Giant's belt as soon as possible.

You just want to get as much AP as possible. with Augment:Death you should be destroying creep waves at around level 8.

Viktor's appeals for justice fell on deaf ears, and he sank into a deep depression. He withdrew from the College and barricaded himself in his private laboratory, cutting all human ties. There, in secret, he conceived a project for which nobody else could claim credit. Desiring both to revolutionize his field and to eliminate the jealous human emotions which festered inside him, he engineered parts to replace and improve his own body.

When Viktor re-emerged, almost no trace of the original man remained. Not only had he supplanted the majority of his anatomy, but his personality had changed. His previous hope to better society was replaced by an obsession with what he called ''the glorious evolution.'' He saw himself as the patron and pioneer of Valoran's future “ a future in which man would renounce his flesh in favor of superior hextech augmentations. Though Viktor's initial appeals were met with heavy skepticism, scientists were confounded by the sophistication of his machinery. By integrating his mind with techmaturgical devices, he had been able to drastically accelerate the progress of his research. His transformation had stripped him of what he perceived as his emotional weaknesses, but there was some lingering residue of resentment against the Professor. Viktor joined the League of Legends to pit his inventions against the greatest opponents Valoran could offer, and to correct any weaknesses or inefficiencies that remained.
