I am EU vladimir main, I've started playing league at the end of 8th season. Since the whole season 9 I was silver and i was actually casual player, I enjoyed the game playing lee sin and any other champions but mainly lee sin and katarina. In season 10 I decided to do something with my rank. Luckily I had a friend who knew league better then me (He actually made me play league 1st time) and he kinda coached me. We reached plat 2 with not worse winrate on 150 games. Now in season 11 when it just started I am master 70% winrate top #70 vladimir in the world, top #10 EUNE. We will be trying to reach higher rank tho. I will update this guide with every patch, Vladimir actually didn't get any nerf/buff for very long time, cuz his winrate is pretty low in lower elo, but if you know how to play him correctly you can easily win your games. Trust me. I couldn't find my main since the whole season 9. I played 2000 draft picks I was jungle main, but when I started climbing i felt kinda useless in jungle, cuz in silver elo you just clear no matter how. You do what you want, smite cannons from lanes etc. (I don't say that diamond jingler dont do that, freaking apes) But with every next rank (mostly when the plat started) I felt like I need to go to another lane. Before I started playing jungle I was playing mid. So I started again, but I had to choose my champion, cuz I didn't play kata for years, that's when I started playing vladimir. I felt in love. His playstyle completely fills me. If you are good at vladimir you can even take fights in very early game. Of course there are some matchups when you can't, but most of the time you are able to. What to do in early as vlad? Just try to farm if your matchup is not too comfortable, ask your jungler for wraiths. Why? Healing from creeps=35%, from monsters/champions=100%. If you know something about vlad you can try to poke enemies with combo's such as E>Q>AA>W.

When you are not sure if you are going to last hit creep you can do AA and while it goes to the minion you can cast E(fast tap)/Q so it does enough damage.

If you have empowered Q your enemy is probably going to be afraid of you is he's not melee he just escapes without punishment, but if he's inattentive/melee you can punish him with pretty much every empowered Q.

I would call vladimir skilled champion, cuz do the amount of hard matchups.

You should have Rocketbelt, Sorcs and Void Staff. It makes you really strong and allows you to oneshot any enemy carry or just do tons of damage in objectives fights. Try to engage and with your usual combo and then Pool (W) so they start to panic and your team has enough time to start doing something.

Best moment of whole gameplay. You are pretty much going to have many of times and some CDR so you can just do everything, cuz you have Zhonya. Be aware and pay attention to enemies placing. As a carry you just simply engage every fight and Pool (W) so they start to panic. If your team is not inting you are going to win fights. Unless you don't int.

You need to get used to one thing. Always and always before you cast W start charging your E.

Charged E > Q > W

AA > E > Q

Combo #4 (my fav combo to engage every fight)

Charge E > flash > release E > R > Q > W

Try to execute this combo on practice tool before going in-game.

Use hextech somewhere between.

Combo #5

You can catually cancel your Q animation with Pool (good to dive someone)
So basically what you gonna do is just
Use Q > while casting it press W

When to use it and how to execute it?

When you are confident to dive someone, you are ahead and you just feel it like you can do it. Do it. You are pretty much safe. You can do Combo #4 but you can also try to not waste your flash, as remember vlad is really immobile champion, so that's why you need flash to pretty much every enagage. Try to do
Charge E > Release E > R > Q > cancel with W > cast ignite somewhere between or at the end

Combo #6

Charge E > Q (when you cast Q while charging E it will insta release after casting Q)

So a lot of vladimir players don't use your E correctly. Why so? Your E costs your HP so you need to cast E BEFORE casting Q so your Q is going to heal you for you lost HP. It's that simple, but also really important.
