Excellent solo tank/melee.
Dishes out tons of damage.

Cons

What cons? Eh you might get killed at the start a lot more often then towards end game but really that's the only con.
Also lots of mana drain... that's why I go with

Clarity.

I would personally go with what I gave you... just so you don't die so quickly. But you can go with some Attack Speed Runes and Attack Damage... I'm mean unless you don't want a **** ton of health.

Personally I prefer mid, its a great way to own one person at a time... (that's if you play with bots). It's also a better way to stack up 's unique passives. +32 Health for each stack, stacking if you get 2 if you get the kill and 1 if you got the assist. Once you've reached max stacks of Leviathan you can a damage reduction bonus of 15%, this goes for all damage types Magic or Melee.

What should I do if I got Leviathan because the item order says to buy Regrowth Pendant?
Eh, I usually go with Regrowth Pendant but you can grab Boots or Mercury's Treads

So erm the downs of what might happen?
Well since Volibear went F2P this week 2/14/2011. I've seen a lot of people come into my lane and try to steal kill and pretty much that is what will happen. Once you manage to get a turret down (Btw My record in mid was 7 mins if you can beat that then your good) the bots will rush that lane, if you play with Bots and people will want to push with you in your lane. Just because some people think having the most kills means your a "PRO". But nonetheless all I do is let em have that lane and you go somewhere else. Let the bots push because once they get close enough you will own them.

But I'm not playing bots... What should I do?
Typically if your not playing with Bots your allies will aid you. I've seen it done with enemy Volibears. And if you want an excellent guide I recommend looking up on Youtube "Volibear the Thunder's Roar Champion Spotlight" to get the best PvP guide there is.

I'm not playing Classic...
Dominion is roughly the same build but go with more health and armor stats and maybe an Attack Speed item or two. I really like getting Ionic Spark just because the extra magic damage.

What and when should I max my skills?
Max Frenzy by 9 or at least by 10. Why? Frenzy is most damageable attack there is. Frenzy deals at max 250 damage + [15% of your max health] and deals additional damage for each health your opponent is missing (1% of their health missing = 1% more damage you do) combine that with Majestic Roar and Rolling Thunder plus your ultimate well let's just say in the voice of Unreal Tournament = GODLIKE.
