Thanks for the response!
I disagree with a lot of the things lemonnation included in his guide. Of course, that might be because lomo knows a lot more stuff about the game than I do, but I dislike how lemonnation's item build puts so much emphasis on pick potential (e.g. buying Banshee's Veil) as opposed to another item that may provide more utility to your team.

Additionally, I dislike how lemonation's guide doesn't really go into much detail about how to position yourself to catch opponents out. I think that he would at least talk a little bit about warding if he were to advocate for such a build. Also, his guide is a little bit outdated.

I've been on a little bit of a break from league, but now that summer classes are over for me, it might do me good to look into updating this again

Thanks a lot for your reply,
Michael

Nice guide! I'm curious to what you think of Cloud9's morg build here on moba? I kinda agree that Morgana can pull off a less defensive build, but I seriously don't master her well enough to have the faintest clue what is best :)

Btw & FWIW I main Sona plat 2 ish and totally agree that Frostfang is way too weak to upgrade to, unless you're rushing Frost Queen's Claim (which is terrible imho). It takes too long to pay for itself, setting you back in the meantime, and wards are huge.

Bah, I never understood why everyone would opt for a sightstone rush unless they can buy it in 1 go... (ESPECIALLY on champs like morgana that are REALLY good at just staying back, getting 3 frostfang procs super easily and then mostly peeling for their carry for the rest of the game)

Also, my preferred playstyle with morg is poking with autos/w until you get a very good binding off, in which case you focus down one person and disengage when the binding runs out so I see very little need of the extra health from sightstone unless you're really keen on fighting full hp all ins xD

I can't really deny it though since so many people swear by it, but personally I've had much better results with an early frostfang than without :p

I see your point, but seeing as you've got Lucian and Corki there, I figure you may as well go all the way.

l0l okay that's weird, guess it's some error on my end, though I'm not sure how that happened. Some work for me, others don't. http://i.imgur.com/G***arM.png http://i.imgur.com/HVPirGY.png

I have to say I'm not 100% sure on the Frostfang matter anymore, but either way fixing the other stuff would have been enough for an upvote from me anyway, though apparently I can't make the green banner come up because of my previous vote.

- I think Ignite is better than Exhaust, especially in the tank meta, and based on what you said in the guide, you seem to favour it too. Why do you use Exhaust in the cheat sheet?

Thanks - Legit so many people were pestering me to opt for Ignite over Exhaust. This gives me the confidence to put it as the preferred SS in the cheat sheet

- I don't know why you wouldn't upgrade Spellthief's, it's way stronger in lane than rushing Sightstone. And all the extra gold income ends up paying itself off after 100 ticks of damage, so it's basically free minus the delay in Sighstone.

Actually, the health from Ruby Crystal will give more all-in presence than a Frostfang, but the problem with getting Frostfang is that that's 500g you're not spending on Sightstone. You can't make as aggressive plays because there's always the threat of a jungler gank. Plus, Frostfang's gold passive isn't too much better from Frostfang's anyways.

- Not sure that Ninja Tabi or Captain are ever worth building, the alternatives are better.

✓ I hardly ever built those anyways.

- Zhonya's vs Mikael's isn't just about being ahead or behind, there's also just some situations where you want the extra carry protection.

Carry protection is largely a function of playstyle, and less so of itemization. I can't think of a way to teach my readers about the circumstances when they'll need Mikael's Blessing when instead I could just teach them how to peel for his or her teammates better

- I don't think Twin Shadows is ever worth building, Morellonomicon seems like a better offensive item because of the mana regen and higher CDR. Righteous Glory is a better item than Abyssal Scepter too.

Removed Twin Shadows. I forgot that that item was included in a time when Turbo Chemtank didn't exist.

- Veteran Scars and Juggernaut give you a lot of survivability, your lane would be much stronger with them and I don't think 5% CDR is worth giving that up for.

Ahhh I've tried 0/9/21 and 4/5/21. +50 HP can make a life or death difference in the early game, but man 5% CDR can make so much of a difference later in the game so that you can round off your CDR. I'll put 0/9/21 in the cheat sheet though. You bring up a good point that what's best for me isn't necessarily best for my reader.

- Shouldn't there be more matchups in your cheat sheet? Especially ADC's.

Added a couple matchups, but supports control the early game laning phase more than ADCs do.

- Not a fan of the "quick guide" part. Most of it is just repeating what you already said in the cheat sheet, and the explanations, especially the ones in spoilers, look super squashed.

I'll look to remove it. I've heard nothing but criticism of the quick guide. It's just hell to collapse all that BBCode.

- These black things look random and out of place as hell. Is it an error? Because they're inconsistent too, sometimes you use them, but throughout most of the guide you've used this in their place.

- Every support with a skillshot can miss it. I don't think that should be a con. Anymore than "can lose a game" should be a con.

- It's never worth not leveling up W until level 8, it gives way more lane presence than a 2nd point in Dark Binding.

I'm an idiot. W lets you juggle tower aggro too so tower dives become the easiest thing ever. Updated my flowchart.

- Your guide still mentions Rod of Ages, which I assume you removed from the cheat sheet.

- The video about skillshots in your guide is way too long considering what it's trying to explain. I got the point within the first few minutes, why it goes on for 16 minutes I have no idea. I'm pretty sure you can find a better way to explain the concept without telling people to watch that video... and telling them to watch it twice is a little overkill.

- In the rules of trading: "Pay attention to the health of your own minions.". I'm guessing you say this because when the enemy ADC is going for a last-hit, you can pressure him by auto-attacking him while he's busy auto-attacking the minion, or possibly even Q him if it's a good shot. But you don't mention this, you just say "pay attention to your minions". You need to explain why.

I updated these. :)

I'm basically downvoting because of the 4 points in offense masteries, no Frostfang, and saying that not skilling Tormented Shadow unitl level 8 is an option. It's a shame because the rest of the guide seems really good for the most part, but advising suboptimal setups, build paths and skilling orders sets your readers at a disadvantage from the moment they enter a game, and that in my eyes is serious enough to override all the good things a guide does.

I'm holding my ground on Frostfang, but I think i've updated most other things that you asked; Thanks again for the review~

Yeah it does take a while to pay itself off, but it gets there, making it an incredibly cost efficient upgrade.

Thanks for the upvote and scout, emoriam! C:
I think I got distracted while I was adding stuff to the core items part, and forgot to include the part about the trinkets. I'll be sure to change that later today - as well as your suggestions to the quick guide too :)
