Should use offensive masteries for sure. Rylai's is unnecessary; more AP is better 90% of the time. Greater Quint of Fort is not for AP Yi you will have more hp than your opponents because of meditate.

My results following your guide. AP Yi is AMAZING and the mask after the boots is a tremendous boost. The extra bit of health AND AP AND cdr??? No denying that it is a must have early game for Yi. Allows him to spam alpha more and harass enemy champs that much more. I have yet to meet a champ that can shut me down in mid. Great guide. Only criticism I can add i why didn't you show this to me earlier? wtf man... seriously.... get on top of that next time. :D

I main ap yi, and while this guide has potential, it is flawed in a few key areas.

1: Summoner Spells: you say ghost/ignite, but you do not explain why. Add a viable Summoner spells section. I also think that flash/ignite is better on him, but that is my opinion.

2: Build: Starting with dorans and rushing Haunting guise delays your core, which you need. more importantly, WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE A LICH. It is absolutely core on ap yi, as with a lich and DFG you can instagib a squishy, and rampage all on your lonesome. I beileve that you should start meki pendant, lane until you have enough for boots/needlessly large rod, and then lane till you have your hat and sorc shoes. then get your lich. then a DFG. then a Banshees veil. and lastly, a Rylais.

3: Runes: when starting with meki pendant+2 mana pots i dont really ever go oom in lane with utility mastery. Try going mpen marks/quints, scaling armour seals, and flat mr glyphs.

Ok, where to begin?

First off, the guide is full of spelling and grammar mistakes, and could use a lot of help from this guide to turn it from a wall of text to a real looking guide. All of that is just designed to help people read your guide (I'm afraid they won't take it seriously in this format).

Choices: Flat mana glyphs and flat ap seals? At the very least, go flat ap seals (you get almost twice as much) and some kind of mana glyphs if you really want. It's an odd choice to begin with, but it can still be more efficient than what you have now.

RoA is your...7th purchase. Both Rod of Ages and Archangel's Staff are early game items so you can let them build up when their growth is still a real advantage. You get RoA way too late, and you also have so many main items in your build that it's not clear which you should really go with. The item build at the top should really only have 6 items, with an explanation if you include more (and getting tear at the end doesn't make sense either).

Skill order: Wuju Style is ok to be a last priority on AP yi, but you want at least one rank early. Put a rank in it at lv 4 (pretty standard for last priority skills) and suddenly you have +15/30 ad whenever you need it. Surely that's worth more than a (relatively) small upgrade on your Q or W.
Also (probably just a typo) but you don't level your ult at 16.

Finally, as most people are used to AD yi, you should have an AP vs AD section. If you really think your build is viable (which I do for the record) show people why. If you're going off the beaten path, offer the rational behind it.

I'm sorry if this came off as harsh; this guide has a good amount of potential, but I do think some things need fixing.
