Lee Sin mid? How does it work?

Hey guys this is my first guide on mobafire, and i will be doing my favorite champion lee sin the blind monk. Well... yes lee sin can be a very good mid lane champion because of the great damage output he has if he gets a kill early on. Lee sin doesn't have a great early game, but don't panic. that is why you have a jungler. If you tell your jungler to give you the kill when he comes for a gank that will be very beneficial for you. Once you get this early kill you should pretty much steamroll the enemy. I got the idea from playing lee sin mid from EG Froggen. This person is the one who inspired me to do this build.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

Extremely fun to play
He counters a lot of ap mids[
He can do insane amounts of damage with his ult late game.

Cons:

He is hard to master
If he doesn't get a kill early he might lose lane
Can be dominated by champions such as Vladimir, Mordekaiser

Summoner Spells

FLASH

Flash is the best summoner spell in the game without a doubt.

Ignite

Ignite gives you more champion killing power at any stage of the game.

Teleport
Teleport give you GODLY MAP CONTROL. It can help you get towers, split push ,etc.

Item Choices

EARLY GAME:
This item gives you more hp regen, and builds toward the philo stone which gives you some gold per 10 and more hp regen

Now you can get 2 sight wards and 3 hp pots

Ravenous hydra is actually a really great item for lee sin, but i prefer the attack speed from , but you can switch for if you want.

is also a great item for lee sin but i think some items are better for him.

Early Game

In the early game you will want to get the items i recommended and run to your blue or red to watch for gank/leash. This should be pretty simple. All you have to do is watch for an invade, if not then kick red/blue buff in the face a couple of times and go to mid lane. IF YOU ARE GETTING INVADED ON. What you should do is get your team to the appropriate place in your jungle and protect your buff. Trust me if your jungler has a late start don't expect him to give you a level 3 gank cause he has to level up. IF you cannot hold the enemy off then go to their buff and steal it. Once you get into your lane from level 1-2 you will be getting dominated. Such as out csed, harassed etc. You will start outputting a lot of damage at around lv 3. This is the time you need to call for a gank. You will want to stand somewhere you can land a nice q to the enemy and have your jungler follow in. If you suspect the enemy will flash, wait for them to flash then hit q again to dash to them. Now you can e twice for the slow and auto attack ftw. REMEMBER only use your ignite if they might get away, it might help give you a kill later.

Mid Game

As Lee Sin you will want to start carrying wards around, because you can use your w to jump to a ward which can save your life. Speaking of wards, it is always good to ward the bushes on either side of the mid lane to watch for ganks. Now is also the to play somewhat aggressive. Poke whenever you can by: Sonic Wave sonic wave/ Resonating Strike resonating strike then Tempesttempest/ Cripple cripple, and finally Safeguard safeguard/ Iron Will iron will to a nearby minion or sight ward. Always remember to get dragon whenever possible as it gives your team 1000 gold.

Late Game

Okay now we're into late game, and now is when i feel like is a great assassin. If you see anyone trying to push their lanes the go and kill them because they most likely can't kill you. Also, your job in teamfights is do do a lot of damage and try to kill their adc or apc. Remember adc's such as Ezreal ezreal and Corki corki have escapes they can use to try to get away from you. This is when Sonic Wave sonic wave Resonating Strikeresonating strike comes in handy land this and they should be dead. Also remember that Lee Sin can destroy towers fairly quickly so don't be afraid to push. Also, remember that Blade of the Ruined King is great for killing baron and dragon so don't be afraid to kill them as they give your team great rewards. One last thing is that your ultimate dragons rage does 1000+ dmg late game![/color]

Farming

=This is a very important part of this build. Farming Is a lot in the game. Did you know that 14 minions= 1 champion kills so please farm up. If you fall back as lee sin you will not do very good late game and probably feed. But to avoid this you should play smart and play safe. Ward lanes get minion kills and you should get right back on track.
