EARLY GAME :
Xerath is longe range champ so try to pull them. In early on lane phase use only your Q, don´t waste your mana. You can use your combo to hard pull (in late game this combo mostly time can kill squishy targets). When your enemy on lane has something around 1/5hp try to stun him and use a combo I am talk before(E+W+Q).

MID GAME :
Xerath is pretty strong if he is feed in mid game. He can easily carry. Just stay behind your time and wait them engage. In this phase should be wards everywhere you go because enemy team can go to your back and team will not help you in time = lost team fight because you have to remember that Xerath is squishy.

LATE GAME : In late game is Xerath dmg beast. He can kill Adc with 2 spells so quickly. But do not forget you are stil squishy and comly your most priority rule : stay behind your team. If you do everyhing well you should carry your team.

Xerath is not good for solo carry, because he need protect, so if you are in low elo (platinum-bronze) make sure you have friend who will help you carry

My build is calculated, I made program and in that program I calculated best build for Xerath. So I can easily say that this build with these runes deal the most dmg. I calculated top rated Xerath guide and I was shocked. In late game my Xerath did on Q +200dmg and thats lot.

Morelloonomicon and Athene's unholy grail : These items are powerfull only in early because Xerath need mana but If you will use only Q as I said. You will be able to do combo whenever you want because of your passive that is pretty good for Xerath.
