So this is my tank xin build. I know that xin seems to be played more as a dps champ but through a few games with him I have come to the conclusion that he is actually a great tank/initiator. That`s precisely what this build is trying to make for you. A good tank that can take dmg and initiate fights well but at the same time deal some heavy dmg with his ult and provide constent cc with his pop.

Early game: To start off I usually only go with 2 health pots which i rarely if ever need to use with my masteries but in case i have them. The reason for this is to rush a chain mail. If against a lane with dps champs like trist or yi this will prove extremely effective to counter them. I can usually get merc treads to on my first trip back because i had saved up so much money plus the extra from not buying an item at the beginning. this means you have a good amount of both armor and Maagic resist fairly early on.

Mid game: usually by now I`ll have picked up a sunfire and be dealing some good dmg in ganks from audacious-ult-battlecry-pop order of using my skills. Here you`ll have a choice to make. Whether to go for a force of nature or another sunfires first. If their team is heavy in one the choice should be obvious but if you find you are getting focused by a ryze mr is definetly recommended. Just make sure to pick up the one that you don`t choose after.

Late game: By now you have picked up all your main tanking items and are working on the frozen mallet and atma`s after you get them the only way you should die is by rushing into their team without yours to support you or other such acts of stupidity. Your ult and audacious will do enough dmg for you to be target in team fights which is not only to be expected but it also works great for your team because the more they focus you and waste cc`s on you the more dmg your real dps champs can deal
