Now I realise that this is not a new concept to most of you but myMixVent has been around for a few years and in that time we have seen it grow and shrink in size. Originally a Css vent back in 2008 it had over 2000 registered users but after a bit of neglect it found most going off to do their own thing after being relaunched in December 2011 it already has over 800 registered users and now has channels for todays most popular games.

The server has an admin team that is on on covering almost all hours each and every day although there are some exceptions. All rooms are limited to a maximum of 5 clients unless stated otherwise in the channel comment. At present it is an English speaking ventrilo but custom channels can be made for clans and/or other languages. It is already pre paid up untill the end of this current year and at present has a 50 slot user limmit which obviously with more people joining would be increased to accomodate.

There are 2 main section on the vent, open pick up channels which do not require registration and any one who connects to the ventrilo can use them but as a guesst you do have limited functionality on vent as well as restricted access to the main rooms. The registered user is free to join all channels with a couple of additional user flags registered users tend to be repeat visitors to the server and as such are generally less likely to break any of the server rules.

(We prefer you to use the domain name in case we ever move hosts, it means we can do so without it affecting you or your connection. However IP is available on request.)

Download ventrilo from the official website here http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php
(Select the client program that corresponds to you.)
Install to your normal directory then open ventrilo and follow these steps remembering NOT to include "" when entering the required information.

Step 1
Once Ventrilo is open click the arrow next to the box for "User Name" Enter your username and click "ok"
Step 2
Now click the arrow next to the box for "Server" Enter the name "myMixVent" and click "ok"
Step 3
Now enter the hostname "voice.myMixVent.com" and the port "4667" and click "ok"
Step 4
A message in the white box will appear saying "MSG: Server is available. Press connect" so press "connect" If any other message is displayed double check the hostname and port that was entered.
Step 5
Now that you have connected a message box displaying the server rules will open, read these as they are the rulkes for our ventrilo. Once read check the box that says "display only if it changes" then click close.
Step 6
You are now connected and in the open community part of our ventrilo server you can join all the channels that are in that section or alternativly you can register and have increased priviledges and channel access.
