First of all:
Elo hell is everywhere and the games are about the same everywhere.
You ahve the same trolls and baddies in high elo as you ahve in low elo. The skill ceiling is just WAY higher.
On 1,4k it doesn't really matter what champ you play. Play your best champ over and over again and your elo will rise.
Strong champs at this elo are Akali, Talon, Lee Sin, Irelia, Jax, Kog'Maw, Riven, AP Sion and Amumu. There are more, but that's the champs that come first in my mind.
