She's playable, but 
Morgana definitely has some stronger CC and utility. Black Shield is pretty game changing, whereas Lux's shield isn't really all that.

- Both have a bind, although Lux can bind more opponents
-Both have a shield, although Lux is weaker it can be cast on more team mates
- both have AOL damage although Lux is more a burst of damage compared to Morgana Damage over time.
The only difference is the ultimate to which Morgana snares her opponents for easier team fights whilst Lux does tons of damage in one hit.
But considering how similar they are you don't see alot of Lux compared to Morgana and I was wondering if Lux is actually a viable choice in the game or if she has been knocked to the sidelines.
