Great, because Malzahar wasn't having enough issues laning mid already. At least they could've increased Malefic Visions damage on creeps to compensate for stupid easy voidlings to take out 1 on 1.
Seriously, first they rework him with less damage and making him more one dimensional, then they nerf him constantly.

Quite a small patch was excited to see some more changes. I guess we will need to wait a couple more weeks!
I'm guessing there aren't many changes because they're releasing two new champions instead of one.

CAW CAW and welcome to MOBAFire Patch Summary - 7.8!
Once this patch goes live, you can finally swoop in on the rift with the two love birds Xayah and Rakan! That's basically the most important part of the patch, but of course there are some champions changes and bug fixes too.
ARSR is gone (finally) and this week's featured game mode is Legend of the Poro King. You can start playing this, if people actually do play it, as of the 21st and up until the 28th of april.
Check out the full patch notes for details on any changes that interest you.

Our favourite.. whatever he is.. Aatrox has receieved some changes this patch which just might make him viable after 5 seasons (though probably not). Hellbent attack speed has gone up and now refreshes on monsters. His W Blood Thirst receieved a little buff too the proc now grants more health. Three mages, Ryze, Lissandra and Karthus receieved some love this patch too, Lissandra getting the most with some nice QoL buffs on her passive and Q.
As for the losers, Malzahar (arguably) took the biggest slap on the wrist this patch. His voidlings now have less HP and he's also lost a bit of armour. Nautilus got an increase in mana cost for his Riptide and he now has lower mana regen as well to boot. .The Swag Daddy has lost his ability to hide epic monsters in his bushes, which is apparently a big deal.
And of course, Xayah and Rakan are out and you can check out their stuff in Riot's spotlights here and here respectively.
Mastery Changes
Now has a louder visual effect when it activates. T-that's it, that's the big change.
ARAM & TT Changes
The former recieved changes to gold pacing (gold generating items have been removed), some items have been removed (gold generating items) and there are a lot of Poro changes too. You can read about all the changes in detail here.
As for the Treeline, the death timers have been adjusted as well as experience gain. Read all about it here. Does anyone even play this though?
Upcoming Skins
Cosmic Dawn Rakan and Cosmic Dusk Xayah (1350 RP each)
