After reading the new post on www.Surrenderat20.net.
I was quite interested by the idea of banner of command on Heimerdinger.
Giving him the promoted minion and the more damage for his minions (including his turrets), he would shove lanes better than anyone.

The problems that would occur would be his lack of dedicated escape and kind of medicore 1v1 power against a smart opponent.
Any ideas for other items to be built?

Ohmwrecker for maximum giving a tower the middle finger, and Rylai's Crystal Scepter for some sort of way to escape when in danger.

Are his rockets single target or considered AOE?
Cause Rylai's Crystal Scepter on his rockets would probably set up a nice escape.
Couple that with Liandry's Torment and you can force anyone out of lane :3

bwahahaha don't make me laugh dude, sorry.

First, Heimerdinger isn't his turrets. He really isn't anymore. His turrets don't contribute a whole lot when compared to his other skills, and his other skills (besides his ult, maybe) are just plain better. Can they push a lane? Yes, they can. But very very rarely will they actually be effective. A mid laner can just walk up and 2 or 3 shot them with pretty much zero reason not to, minions themselves can rip through a turret without even losing 1.

his turrets deal barely any damage anyways.

Tear is the worst noob trap you can ever fall into as a Heimerdinger.

I think the biggest noob trap is actually playing Heimerdinger.
It was only a build to have fun with :3

I like playing Heimerdinger. Top mostly. He's not that great, but he's fun to play, and usually your top opponent has a really hard time pushing their lane. I'm far from pro, but when I get Heimerdinger top, my opponent has never been able to push their lane. I out CS them by a ton. I have mixed results with mid. He tends to kind of fall off late game, though... that's the problem. It's hard to contribute with him in the team fights and do a whole lot, especially when playing as "Defensedinger". I would not even try to play him straight AP. He's so slow, you'll just feed. I've regularly pushed lanes with heimerdigner, but it was mostly because my opponents had no idea how to counter him. Just go for a tanky build and you should do well. If you want to try a more powerful lane-pusher... good luck. That requires a lot of skill and you're far better off with a champion with actual burst damage.
