Teamfight Tactics Patch 13.24 - Las Vegas OPEN Edition

Massive buffs to Yone, and 4-Costs (Caitlyn ones are big). Nerfs to Jazz (finally!) and OP units (looking at you Ziggs). K/DA Pop Star Kai'Sa is coming to Treasure Realm and much more for TFT Vegas Open Patch 13.24!

The opening patch for Remix Rumble was among the best in terms of balance in comparison to other sets. Between playing Disco Dazzler, Akali/Pentakill or simply rerolling your way out with Country Samira and Annie, players could play very much to their preferred style.

However, there are still outliers and with the TFT Vegas Open coming soon, things needed some adjustments and oh boy some impactful changes just sneak by just in time for the LAN Tournament!

Just the fact that the outlier 5-cost Ziggs got nerfed along with the buffs to many 4-cost (Caitlyn and Zed are notable ones) is going to change most of the lines in the tournament.

Apart from that, the game is receiving new cosmetics, bug fixes, and changes to headliner effects.

TFT Vegas OPEN is going to make for a hell load of a fun tournament, starting this December 8th.

Without further ado, let's get into the changes coming in Patch 13.24!

Along with the new Kai'Sa cosmetic, we are receiving Chibi Akali (Available through RP) & K/DA All Out Akali (Treasure Realms).

System changes

Let’s be honest, 8-bit was BAD in the last patch, and while it has one of the more fun units in the game, people usually pivot out from the trait to play the Jazz’s and Pentakill’s comps, that is changing in this patch.

  • 8-Bit AD Per Stack: 3.5/6/10% ⇒ 4.5/7.5/12%
  • 8-Bit Grand Prize Score: 456789 ⇒ 345678

With this change expect 8-bit to be much better, and when you consider that Caitlyn (4-cost 8-bit) is getting buffs, there’s a chance of new comps to rise in the upcoming days.

Starting now with nerfs, these three ones are way too overpowered so they are receiving nerfs: Country, Guardian, and Jazz (thanks Riot).

  • Country 3 Attack Speed Bonus: 20% ⇒ 15%
  • Country 5 Country Omnivamp Bonus: 20% ⇒ 15%
  • Guardian max Health Shield ratio: 30/50/70% ⇒ 25/40/60%
  • Jazz max HP Per Trait: 2/3/4% ⇒ 1.5/2/3%
  • Jazz bonus Damage Per Trait: 1/2/3% ⇒ 1/1.5/2%

Units

1 Cost

In terms of harsh nerfs to 1-cost units, Kennen is nerfed to the ground. The overperforming unit with three traits (Guardian, Superfan, True Damage) was dominating the 1-cost meta, especially when found as a headliner. This meant that he needed some number tweaks.

Kennen TFT

  • Kennen Shock and Awe Damage: 160/240/360 ⇒ 145/215/325

Also, Guardian, Superfan, and Headliner effects are being changed so he should be worse.

In terms of buffs, both K’Sante and Yasuo are getting buffs. There’s one Yasuo comp that is starting to rise in priority thanks to this buff.

K’Sante TFT

  • K’Sante max Mana buff: 0/60 ⇒ 0/40
  • K’Sante Block the Haters AD ratio: 700% ⇒ 800%
  • Yasuo Synthesizer Strike AD ratio: 275% ⇒ 290%

With these buffs, expect to use K’Sante as a tank way more often (and to stack Heartsteel). As mentioned before, Yasuo is a unit to look out for (but his brother is way more OP).

3 Cost

Yone Crowd Diver TFT comp

Joining the OP comps...

Only one unit is being changed in this patch, but is enough to shake up the meta.

  • Yone HP: 750 ⇒ 800
  • Yone Pop Off AD ratio: 200/200/205% ⇒ 210/210/215%

There’s one Chinese Yone comp that is currently rocking through lobbies, consisting of using Crowd Divers along with Edgelords. You can check it out here.

4 Cost – Massive buffs

If you played the last patch the meta revolved around the reroll comps or going Fast 9. This ended up making most players skip level 8 altogether, I don't think that would happen in this patch.

Ezreal TFT

  • Akali (True Damage) AS: 0.85 ⇒ 0.9
  • Akali (True Damage) Three Point Strike AD ratio: 250/250/500% ⇒ 275/275/550%
  • Caitlyn Champ Hunt AD ratio: 375/375/750% ⇒ 390/390/800%
  • Ezreal AS: 0.8 ⇒ 0.85
  • Ezreal Crash the Party small shots (1st and 2nd cast) AD ratio: 330/330/660% ⇒ 350/350/700%
  • Viego Riff of the Ruined King Slam AD ratio: 150/150/300% ⇒ 200/200/400%
  • Zed Shadow Dance shadow clone AD ratio: 175/175/350% ⇒ 185/185/370%

Already on the first days of the patch, some comps are kind of abusing the buffed units, one example is the Yone reroll comp mentioned earlier, with Zed and Viego stronger this comp is on another level.

Another popular comp in this patch is using Jhin and Ezreal (Fast 9). Finally, Caitlyn is way stronger and players are picking her up as the primary Rapidfire Carry.

5 Cost

The all-mighty Ziggs is getting nerfed. It was not uncommon for players last patch to get fast 9 and reroll their hearts out to get Ziggs Headliner, the spike was too worth it, however with these nerfs he should be more of an option instead of a must-go pick every game.

Lastly, Kayn buffs for his base stats and spell damage, to be fair, he was one of the worst 5 costs.

Ziggs TFT

  • Kayn AS: 0.85 ⇒ 0.95
  • Kayn Fear the Reaper Damage: 380/575/4000 ⇒ 400/600/4000
  • Ziggs Mana nerf: 30/70 ⇒ 30/75
  • Ziggs Chaos Theory extra small bombs per cast: 2 ⇒ 1

Headliners changes

Katarina TFT

45% Bounce damage was too much...

The new mechanic of the game is Headliners, and like in every new Set, there are a few outliers that need to be tuned down. In this case, five picks are getting the Nerf hammer.

  • Kennen: 75 HP 4% Max HP Heal ⇒ 75 HP 2% Max HP Heal
  • Bard: Doot Damage: 95/140/215 ⇒ 85/125/190
  • Katarina: 200 HP 45% Bounce Damage ⇒ 150 HP 25% Bonus Damage
  • Miss Fortune: 25% AD ⇒ 20% AD
  • Samira: 15% AD 10% Crit ⇒ 5% AD 10% Crit
  • Sett: 250 HP ⇒ 150 HP
  • Ziggs: 5 AP 10 Mana Reduction ⇒ 5 AP 5 Mana Reduction

There is one buff to Zac that should be massive for EDM enjoyers out there.

  • Zac: 150 HP 10 AP ⇒ 200 HP 15 AP

Zac TFT

Bounce more, tank more, and kill more too.

Augments

That’s Jazz Baby is getting nerfs (finally).

In terms of Augment changes, most of them are nerfs to the warping ones like That’s Jazz Baby and buffs to the weaker ones like Ramping Rhythm (Rapidfire) or Live for Danger (Edgelord).

These changes will not change the meta as much but will open the room for creativity to augments' selection.

  • Bigger Shot (Big Shot) (Bugfix) no longer does more damage than intended to the primary target
  • Good For Something I (Bugfix): Now correctly has a 30% drop chance instead of 50%
  • Reach the Summit when you reach Level 9: gain 50 XP ⇒ gain 10 gold and 50 XP
  • Young Wild & Free (Bugfix): Now correctly drops gold. Lowered to 2 gold from 3 gold
  • Live for Danger (Edgelord) Bonus Damage: 30% ⇒ 40%
  • Ramping Rhythm (Rapidfire) now starts Rapidfire champs at 3 stacks immediately
  • Submit to the Pit (Mosher) Armor, MR, AD, AP, AS: 3 ⇒ 5
  • That’s Jazz Baby (Jazz) HP Per Stack: 40 ⇒ 20
  • That’s Jazz Baby (Jazz) AS Per Stack: 3% ⇒ 2%
  • Binary Airdrop: Grants a component ⇒ Grants 2 gold
  • Endless Hordes max HP Reduction: 15% ⇒ 20%
  • Going Long now additionally grants 8 gold immediately
  • Infernal Contract Gold: 75g ⇒ 90g
  • Blank Slate disabled from appearing at 4-2

Small Changes to Traits

Mostly numbers tweak to a few of the underperformer vertical classes (Bruisers) and nerfs to abusive ones like Crowd Divers that were too OP in the last patch.

  • Bruiser max HP: 20/40/80% ⇒ 20/45/85%
  • Crowd Diver Bonus Damage: 5/30/70% ⇒ 5/30/60%
  • Executioner Critical Strike Damage: 15/30/45% ⇒ 5/25/45%

Executioner Critical Strike Damage is being lowered so people abusing Akali/Karthus or Samira/Vexx should feel these changes the most.

Small Unit Changes

Two Shojin + Nashor was making Annie too OP for a 1 Cost unit, with the Superfan bonus giving now a Jeweled Gauntlet, her performance should be toned down a bit.

Ahri 3-star is getting massive buffs so she feels useful now. Lastly, a tweak to Sona The Drop (Ethereal).

  • Annie Superfan Item: Spear of Shojin ⇒ Jeweled Gauntlet
  • Ahri 3-star now fires 2 projectiles per ability cast
  • Ahri POP/STAR Damage: 275/410/1500% AP ⇒ 275/410/820% AP
  • Ahri POP/STAR empowered Damage: 480/720/2400% AP ⇒ 480/720/1440% AP
  • Sona The Drop (Ethereal) (The red one that gives AS) no longer grants its AS buff to Yorick’s small ghouls. The big Ghoul still benefits from the buff (electronic music appreciator confirmed)

Remix Rumble is one of the biggest Sets of TFT history. If you don’t know too much about what’s new, you can check our comprehensive article with all the details, and also you can check all the best comps/augments curated by their own LeDuck’s to give you an edge to your games.
