as darius viable?

i had the idea to build an attack speed darius to make his passive stack really fast. (my idea for a build was something like 2 phantom dancer, booots, wits end, malaydy, frozen mallet. is there anybody who tried or is willing to try this(i dont own darius myself, so i cant)?

Not worth it. You lose damage on your ult by building AS and it's not like getting 5 stacks takes long anyway. Q-auto-W-2 more autos. You don't really need the AS after 5 stacks and it just goes to waste. Also doing this would get rid of the whole purpose of 5 stacks which is increasing your dunks damage.

you will just get instamelted. and plus, by the time you get close close enough to start attacking or to hook them with E, you're probably already half dead.

You would also die instantly with that build.

If you go AD, your Q will do more damage, your auto attacks deal more damage, your W does more damage, your ultimate does more damage and your passive does more damage.

If you go AS, your passive stacks quicker but deals less damage.

I think the answer is pretty clear :P

As one of the more prominent Darius mains, I can agree that AS is not as effective as AD.

HOWEVER, if you build as an item after trinity, hydra, and other core items (It should be your 5th or 6th item) or replace your boots with it, it gives a ton of good stats and allows you to get stacks faster.

should only be built if you are absolutely stomping. Someones gonna correct me on this, but as far as I am aware Zephyr is not core atm on anyone (Except maybe tank Vi.). However, if you are already stomping lane, zephyr will allow you to have 5 stacks and get a max dunk off in less than 3 seconds if done as fast as possible.
