Why do people hate Twitch as ADC?

I love playing Twitch as ADC.

Basically, if I need to play ADC, I 80% of the time pick .

However, each time I pick him, people always say to me this:
Apple King: Bro, don't pick Twitch, he is superbad ADC
Meiyjhe the Epic: Not when I play him
Apple King: If you suck, I report you
Meiyjhe the Epic: Don't worry, I won't ;D

Then in-game, I got 17-3-8 or something, pretty much melt everyone down in their team.

I don't understand, why do people hate Twitch as ADC in the first place?
What is so bad about him?

Not positive about the assists though, I felt he was snowbally as soon as I got Bork, but no penta so rip the dream.

He has extremely weak range, damage, defensive stats, and mobility.

He is 100% item dependent, possibly the most item dependent of all adcs. He has extremely weak matchups versus taric, Leona, Caitlyn, nunu, graves, just to name a few. He is extremely team dependent and if your positioning isn't perfect in teamfigths, you will explode. More popular adcs have some mobility to keep them safe all game while twitch has none. Also, if you get unlucky and don't crit any ultimate shots, you really don't pour on the damage. He gets wrecked by gapclosers and assassins, both of which dominate the meta at the moment.

Have you even played twitch? Sound's like you have never played him.

The problem with twitch, who i love and chose whenever i have to be ADC btw, is that not only does he rely on your own skills, you also have to trust your support. If your support doesn't set things up for you, you are in much more trouble then lets say Caitlyn, who has a much easier time setting up her own kills.

Also, his main steroid is the attack speed bonus on however if you use this you have no way to prevent a bruiser from wrecking your face. It isn't even that reliable of a stealth in the first place. If you like to play you should try to make sure you have a strong front line, and that you have teammates that can peel for you well.

That's a poor way to put it. If you put it like that, that means at least one adc has to be a 1, so compared to all reasonable adcs, he'd be a 1, i suppose, and the next lowest would be sivir at 2-3
