I usually buy it when I'm decently ahead and the enemy doesn't have very much mixed damage (I.e their mid laner sucks and tickles me even with 0 mr, but their adc is pretty big) so I just rush randuins>warmogs and it works fine
Usually though a combination of resistances and hp far outshines raw hp, though I can see the hp regen being useful vs pokey teams.
Idk... raw health alone is just kinda meh until you have enough resistances xD

I go 5 warmog's voli and do really well... Or at least I have the two times I've done it.

Well, problem with Warmog's Armor is 0 utility. You could rather go for face of the mountain or Turbo Chemtank and benefit from their actives.

From a pure cost effective view: It's a horrible item. You'd be better off with Face of the Mountain or Turbo Chemtank.
From what I recall they said the passive was to help shrug off poke comps while under tower. If that's your use and don't have another form of sustain then it may work well in that regard.

GnarI'd argue that spirit visage is better vs double AP. Warmogs is mostly effective against a lot of mixed damage.

So I was curious about this simple question as to the validity of buying Warmog's. While it remains a top-seller to champs like Mundo and Garen I never see anyone buy it, and for that matter neither do I. I feel like it's a decently useful item on some super health tanks (I used to build it on Nautilus as 1st or second item) but other than that it seems kinda useless. I feel it's better to have armor or mr that Randiun's on Locket would provide than just straight health. I'm unsure if it's still a good item to get after they cut its health by 200 and increased its regen by a ton.
