why not? corki is top tier carry.
If you want to carry with fun, use Caitlyn or MF. MF is easy to play, and is quite strong. Cait's long range makes her a foe to mess with, and her ult is fun to play around with. However, you can end up losing the game if you or your team messes around too much.
If you want to carry straight up hardcore, no mercy, complete shutout, let's move onto the next game! Use Twitch, Corki or Ashe. If any of those champs get a kill or two, the ball starts rollin' and bad things happen to the other team.
Twitch is a snowball effect w/o the snowball items. You gank, get couple kills, get more items that make you even stronger, before you know it, you're ridiculously strong early game, and at late game, it's just like, uh gg?
Corki is also very strong. His long range and his constant harrassment makes him scary to lane against. Couple kills? The ball is starting to roll.
Ashe is such a great champion. She can farm easily with Hawk Shot, great scouter, can stun, slow, and can harrass well if you opponent can't stay behind their own creeps well.

It's still very good. If you don't think so, you're not good at using it then.
It's just not overwhelmingly OP with how MF used to be able to zone people out during her first few monthes.
It's still an asset to her kit.
