@Babit: Of the 79 champions in the game at the moment, only 31 of them have any possible way of getting out of your ultimate without popping Flash. And this is assuming best case scenario.
Of those 31 characters, Warwick, Urgot, Twisted Fate, Nocturne, Malphite, and Fiddlesticks all have to use their ultimates. Three of these are easily disrupted channeled ults. Also Kassadin and Akali, but their ults are on so low of a CD that it doesn't matter.
Of the remaining 25 characters, Akali, Alistar, Amumu, Irelia, Jax, Katarina, Lee Sin, Leona, Master Yi, Maokai, Pantheon, Poppy, and Xin Zhao all must target one of your allies to escape, meaning that if you're initiating fights as you should be, you're forcing the enemy into staying in your ult, waiting for your team to catch up, or to use a spell to dash further into your team, meaning death.
So there are only 12 characters that have a non-ultimate, non-target means of escaping your ultimate easily: Caitlyn, Corki, Ezreal, Jarvan, Kassadin, LeBlanc, Nidalee, Renekton, Shaco, Shen, Tristana, Tryndamere.
You don't really care about trapping other Jarvan, Renekton, or Shen.
You can't catch a Shaco and he's terrible in teamfights.
You can't catch Nidalee anyway.
If you think you can trap a Kassadin with anyone's ultimate then you've got a problem.
In summary, the main characters you're going to actually have to worry about on that list are the AD carries - Caitlyn, Corki, Ezreal, and Tristana. Notice something about their escape spells? They're all on high cooldowns. If you've forced them to pop their only escape spell bar Flash just because you ulted, it's pretty much worth it.
And on any other champion, they either have to stay in or Flash to get out, and ultimate for a flash is always worth it.
