Zilean is a supportchar, I will never deny that. BUT, he has amazing escape abilities, and a pretty good range. at almost all moments I need to get out of there, I can escape gankes with . I do think is good, but gives nice AP and CDR, and with my combo up there, you shouldn't have any problems unless the team is really pissed off at you or bringing a lot of CC. If that is the case, is a great item.

Zilean has a damage skill with his bombs but don't forgot that he is a supportchar. Your aim is to annoy the enemies as much as possible from the backline. Since Zilean is a squishy champion the enemies will focus you in teamfights if they are no noobs and that's why you need some survability. Replace with . This gives you armor, decreases the atk speed of nerby enemies, gives you mp and it also gives you cooldown which is very important since you need to spam your w for always having your ultimate ready.

Just as a quick look, your runes are pretty off... Your quints will be fine, but Marks should be X9, Seals should be greater seal of replenishmentX9, and then Glyphs should be X9...
That utilizes your runes potential, and maxes what you really want
