just so you know i find the ionan boots of lucidity are a much better choice for just about any ap champ. the 20 magic pen is nice early game but later on its not worth squat imo, but the cdr is great all game.

I also prefer a 2nd archangels staff over the crystal scepter, the hp and slow are nice, but as you said you are a long range nuker so you should either be in back or playing artillery from behind a bush, the additional 25 mp lets you spam spells and not have any mana issues and the cdr from morolleo's and the boots allow you to "Chain nuke" as Ive been told i do, and let's face 6% of roughly 2.5 - 3k mana (depending on how fed your tear is) turned into ability power is pretty sick, not to mention rabadon's boosting that further.

now I'm not saying you are wrong by any means, I'm just giving you my opinion based on 2 things, my experience, and (This is the huge factor) MY play style, if you're ahead and feel like giving it a try try it out you get taken down pretty easily i wont lie but your a force to be reckoned with.

Saw this was the top rated guide, but I'm just not seeing it as something particularly extraordinary. You, and anyone who feels the same way, may wish to check out my build. It includes much of what you said here plus my thoughts on maximizing his damage output in his role as a long range nuker who should not be in close combat.

I really like how you've got your build going. I was also fixing his mana early with a tear, but I was rushing the archangels straight into deathcap. I tried yours and I really liked it. The CDR on morello's is just awesome.

Great guide, but trying it out, it doesn't feel like the damage output is high enough. I have started compromising some of the mana regen for AP instead...

I actually found out that if I choose Clarity instead of Teleport, I'll be fine with nothing but a Doran's Ring for mana regen throughout the whole game. That way, I can maximize my damage output (with a little CC and health) with Sorcerer's Shoes >> Rylai's Crystal Scepter >> Mejai's Soulstealer >> Rabadon's Deathcap >> Void Staff, and then if we get to really late game, I sell Doran's Ring and purchase Deathfire Grasp. This gives me LOADS more AP than this build, and the only mana problem I'm experiencing is once or twice in the lane in early-game.

Along with this, I'm using your Early game AP runeset, and I ALWAYS end up being the highest level on the map.

Now, some people don't like snowball items like Mejai's Soulstealer, but it works really well with this hero if you succeed with the gameplan to always stay as far as possible away from the fight. But if you get targeted and killed a lot, I'd probably go for Abyssal Mask instead (you already have health from Rylai's Crystal Scepter and armor from your passive, so spell damage is probably the thing you're the most sensitive to).

I'm not saying "Change your guide to this", but it really works for me anyway! It might be a matter of taste! I chose to not vote on this guide at all for now...

Atrumdio - The second Archangels Staff you get will only give you 400 mana since the unique passive doesn't stack. However I do see how 6% will get you lots of AP. I've never played any AP caster with cdr boots, and I always figured the magic penetration would be better over the cool-down reduction. It's very disputed and I have no idea which one is better -_- Also with this build, I am getting cool-down reduction from Morello's Evil Tome & Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction to help offset not buying Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Crossblades - I will do what I can to make the guide more visually appealing for you :D & I like your suggestion on the yellow runes
