to Shen or not to Shen

I am no shen master by any means, I am still workin on it, and also trying to figure out in which order to level up my skills, because IMO vorpal Blade, and Feint honestly both seem pretty useless. Sure Vorpal Blade is great for early game laning, and feint has saved me a few times, but ehhh.. What are your opinions. Im not complaining about shen nor am I trying to change him, I just wanna know what most people think of him. Is it worth it for me to keep playing him? I do wanna get good with him, if its worth it.[/quote]

Still Shen is a good top laner and a decent (not among the best, but still good) support. As support / tank character you usually have to rely on your team. In lower levels it might not be that surprising when this doesn't work well. Once you get lvl 30 you shouldn't have problems like this that often. A usual tactic for ranked games is having an AP carry (Morgana, Brand, Cassiopeia, ...) mid, a jungler (Skarner, Nocturne, Trundle, ...), an AD carry (Vayne, Caitlyn, Sivir, ...) + support (Janna, Sona, Taric, ...) bot and somebody for solo top. Why? AP carries need exp. They need to level up fast as abilities are their main damage source. An AD carry actually doesn't need a solo lane as exp isn't as important for him. He needs gold! That's why he got a support to help him to farm as much as possible. Supports usually don't hit minions as the carries can make more use out of money. Having a jungler provides a lot advantages as he can help lanes that are in trouble. In addition a good gank can ensure kills for your carries. Solo top provides an exp advantage for another champion in your team. Most solo top champions are pretty tanky. A farmed solo top champion (like Irelia) can carry your team to victory.[/quote]
