I'm looking for a tank/off-tank for solo-top. He needs to have a good sustain and at least one of the abilities have to be ranged. Since I ain't lvl 30 yet most times I solo-top, I will be in a 1v2 lane since jungling isn't usual. Until now i have often used Maokai, and he works fine versus 2 opponents. I have thought about Yorick, but what do you think i shuold go for?
Personally, I'd recommend Cho'Gath. Amazing sustain, good harass, and if he's well farmed - he's a huge threat in late game.
Other good picks would be Gragas, Lee Sin, and two champions you've mentioned - Yorick and Maokai.
Somebody told me that Nasus would be good, but I don't think so. In 1v2 it's too easy to deny his farm and make him useless.

I agree with those, cho and mao especially.
And while I disagree with a lot of the community, who thinks Nasus is a particularly weak top right now, I do have to agree that 2v1 is a rough time for him.

This is not just a who to buy question, but all so looking for new ideas. So it's kinda mixed, but still gonna take it here cause to prevent more threads about who to buy
I got a register of champs that I play normally, but now days it feels like I'm missing something. Most matches I play mid if I'm allowed to or ad carry with a good support, when needed I go solo top and last choice jungeler.
Mid - Brand, Gragas, Heimerdinger, Malzahar, Swain, Xerath, Zilean
Bot - Corki
Top - Singed, Cho'gath, Olaf(testing)
Jungle - Trundle, Lee Sin(worked before some what)
None used: Akali, Alistar, Amumu, Mundo, Everlynn, Fizz, Gangplank, Garen, Janna, Jarvan IV, Kassadin, Kayle, Nidalee, Nunu, Poppy, Rammus, Riven, Rumble, Ryze, Shaco, Sion, Sivir, Tristania,
These are that I would say that I know I can play in those places and do good and the last bunch is the non used. I'm thinking of adding a new mage to mid and have been overlooking Cassiopeia for a long time. One cause I like animal, 2 the only one to beat me as Gragas and gone even when I played Xerath. I can say the same for Ahri after facing her in a battle, I thought would be easy with Gragas after beating them with Xerath, Swain and Zilean. Valdimir is one I consider buying as well after losing to almost all of them mages vs mages, but it was long ago. But if I buy someone of them, I have a few mages and it might be way to much
But I even feel a strong will to play Leona, but no idea where to put her. Then I have also been doing good with Pantheon so far, but no idea where to place him either. Last is Nocturn that I manage to do pretty well in the jungle, but looking at other option, I'm not so sure if I'm going to buy him. Beside those, Wukong, Udyr, Talon, Yorick, Volibear seems interesting. But then I might as well learn the others I have that can solo top and jungle.
So any one got some idea to my ''problem''?

Bruce Lee Sin.
Beside the fact the is a BRUCE LEE skin.
Lee sin can be played quite good in lane and jungel if you know what you are doing. He is quite a good tank and dishes out decent dmg. But he is bannd quite a lot.
Wukong on the other hand has high dmg but not a real way to heal himself without pot life steal. But he has a escape skill and and aoe cc dmg ulti.

Anyways, this weekend there are several Champions on sale (and I am very new to the game, but a skilled SC player) and I am trying to build an arsenal to use once I get into the upper brackets. So far the only Champ I have purchased is Nunu, and I have played (quite successfully) Gangplank/Viktor/Nasus.
I was curious if it would be worth it for my to purchase Gangplank/Miss Fortune this weekend as they are both essentially buy one get one free.
This purchase would be done with RP because I am saving IP for upper level runes.
Thanks for the help.

Warwick has even better sustain than cho-gath. And also great late-game scaling, he has an ult which if used correctly kills their ad-carry. Gamechanging, if u're in the lower ranks of skill-level, post level 6 he can really feed his mid with ganks.
Morgana is a ****ing awesome support mage, she easily stuns 3-4 ppl during a teamfight and takes out half their health doing it, also one of the best champions for level 1 invasions. She's VERY easy to play during all parts of the game, and u can do it with 1 hand if u want to.
Zilean can both be played as an aggressive support in bot-lane who utilizes zoning with double-bombs, and his speed/revive for escaping ganks. And letting players live when they shouldn't have done so.
And a ap-Mid, which utilizes double-bombs for 180% ap+A healload of base-AOE-Damage. Also makes 1 player have 2 lives when they die, they get revived with full hp and cleans up the enemy champions all being 1/3rd hp.
Nasus likes farm. U want to be zoned the first 20 minutes of the game, and after that farming for 20 minutes more. Loose the 3 first dragons due to not being able to do anything early game.
At this price u get an endlessly farmed nasus which by the 40'th minute comes in and 2 shots their ad-carry with a 3,5 second cd spell. Nasus is your guy!
Edit: He can also be played as a jungler where he can't be denied farm. Probably a better position for him.
