Stonewall008 likes playing Darius in the jungle. He says what Darius lacks in sustain, he excels in damage. He's supposed to be played as an aggressive invader early game and he's great at stealing buffs because all he has to do it pull them through the wall. I completely agree with him.

didnt like him. the simple idea of having potential 1000 renweable and unmitigatable damage is unbalanced and unseen, i belive. however I think he is really basic and only trully competitive in toplane becasue i think he needs the farm. otherwise he'll be too squishy for the position he is requires to play at (melee).

If you farm early kills (really easy to do) then the lack of cs becomes a non issue. darius has some of the highest innate damage in game, even pre six. Decimate alone can seriously chunk people down.

I think hes best in the jungle, say ur playing vs a amumu, or just about any jungler besides udyr, mundo etc. You go straight to their red after ur blue and kill them, its realy that simple. You out damage most and if u get them at 1/2 health its first blood.
Some say he watched the lord of the rings sixty twelve times and he was pissed off at gandalf for stealing his idea for a halloween costume. all we know he's called McLovin.

Darius is like Olaf, workable in the jungle, but so much better top lane...An average game might net you ~150 CS as the jungler (assuming you leave your jungle to gank and account for deaths etc.)

Average CS as top lane can be upwards of 250. Additionally, Darius can snowball himself top lane with little effort. With Darius being such a strong champion he needs a solid mix of damage and durability. If you jungle, you'll have more success going full on durability with next to nothing in terms of AD. As a top laner you can stack damage early to snowball your lane, then farm up durability during mid and late game with kills assists and objectives.

It's really up to you, but with junglers like Nautilus, Amummu, Nocturne, Nunu, Mundo, and Malphite being heavily favored picks, Darius can't compete with them. He's relatively mediocre with jungle speeds and has little to no counter jungle potential. Factor in that his pull has a long cool down with a relatively short range; and most strong bot lane ADs have an escape, Darius requires too much additional effort to gank effectively.

Top lane however, Darius has free reign, the potential to turn ganks around into a double kill, easy farm, and great kill potential. As I said earlier, Darius CAN jungle, but I doubt it will be as effective as his top lane potential.

I dunno. I don't think he's a great top laner. I love the champion, I just don't think he's that great.

Darius is to easily countered Imo. His matchups really aren't that good to risk picking him. He is an Elo carry for the jungle due to the damage he brings to ganks, that is what stonewall said. Which is true, I've played him in ranked as a jungler before and it was free win in 1400s. Its fun to go around dunking people, but against players who know what there doing top and pick safe/smart you will probably be at a disadvantage.

I like to play darius jungle when I'm first pick in a draft pick. Watch the enemy role out counters top then when the loading screens appears they're like... ****.

O and counter jungling a tryndamere with darius is a terribad thing to do. Tryndamere roams his jungle full rage bar 24/7. This means he'll crit your *** 'til you die. Early level he'll just chunk your health bar attack by attack while you nuke him with a q and sit there uselessly until it goes off cd. not saying dariu's basic attacks aren't strong, just saying he won't have time to get another decimate in the fight before he dies.

Thanks to Amazing Monkey for the sig. Just like his name, he's amazing
