Keep playing ranked....

ranked > normal

you gain better experience of the game playing ranked, and you improve faster...why?
- half of normal players test new champs, new builds etc and generally have fun
- normal is casual, the level of skill is usually lower than ranked
- ranked there is an incentive to win, people are more driven to win
- statistically, less trolls in ranked, even though it feels like there are more.
- the higher you climb in ranked, the better players you face, and thus, the better player you become, whereas, in normal, you face randoms at different skill levels, and its hard to judge whether you're improving as a player or not.
- ranked is generally more fun imo, since its competitive.

Eventually after spamming enough ranked youll notice your knowledge of the game improves etc.
everyone gets trolls, gets afkers, gets leavers, its everywhere, even at diamond 1, so those people who think 'elo hell' is just bronze/silver are wrong.

Back in season 2, people used to say that after 1,000 games in ranked, the rating that you got, was one that you deserved. So have you played that many? most likely not...a lot of people give up playing ranked after 100 games.....100?! thats nothing...

Again you say you deserve higher, well, 90% of players think the same...as hard as it is to sink in, if you can't carry yourself out of bronze/silver, you deserve to be there...

To answer your question: Are some people, like I, simply not cut out for ranked or is there something extra that I'm missing that I could do?
- some are, but those are the casual players, the people who like to play with friends, and mess around and have fun in normal.
- what you're missing? probably just plain old experience.

I could believe the experience argument as well, honestly never even thought about it.

Thank you everyone for your help and tips, I'll just keep trying in ranked honestly. I'll get out of Bronze someday!

As someone who has been there and done that:

Practice is the only real way to be better. Find a way to learn the works for you and just go for it. I can't tell you how many times I have had these guys here answer my many many many MANY questions and respond to my EVEN GREATER number of *ahem* enthusiastic outbursts of discontent, only for me to lash back because "Feed less and do better isn't an appropriate response." In teh end it took a Youtube video for it to finally click, not becasue these guys are wrong, but because I couldn't prcess the Text they were typing into what I needed. I had to hear it. Now with that in mind you can either: read what you need to do if that's how you best process information, or you can hear/see it through Youtube videos like I did.

Watch this, make a list if what you need to work on (should be just about everything) and work on one thing at a time (I'm working on CS trading)

EDIT: This is the video I mentioned

As people have already mentioned, your CS is pretty low. Creeps are one of your largest sources of gold income throughout the game, so you really need to concentrate on getting those last hits. As long as your opponent isn't punishing you for getting creeps, try not to miss any. If you have to choose between harassing your opponent and getting a creep, get the creep. 20-ish gold is worth more than a little extra champion damage pretty much all the time.

I notice that you've played a lot of champions in ranked, probably across a lot of roles. This is a pretty big red flag. It's easiest to pick a couple of champions in one or two roles to get really good at and just do your damnedest to play them all the time. Morgana mid seems like a good choice for you, since you seem to do well with her (although your CS with her needs a lot of work). Playing a champion that you are familiar with makes you more able to know your own limits. You'll also start to learn matchups, and what times you have the advantage over your opponent, as you become more familiar with your own champions.

Don't be overconcerned with what matchups are and are not good for your champion. It's waaaaaay better to pick a champion you're familiar with into a bad matchup than pick a good matchup on a champion that you don't know. Especially at lower levels, individual skill on a given champion is incredibly important. Stick to what you know.

Get flat armor seals (yellows). You'll use them on literally every rune page. They're amazing. Flat MR glyphs (blues) are also basically standard on every rune page. Leave the marks and quints alone for now. The extra AD from those marks is playable (if not necessarily ideal) on everyone, since everyone autoattacks. The quints are a little specialized, so you'll also need some others, but they're a much lower priority than armor and MR.

There are other tips I could lay in on, but a lot of them get into the nitty-gritty little details. If you can't find anyone to play with (for help) in the chat room, you could also trying joining some of the inhouse games.

My posts may be long. If this bothers you, don't read them.

Cannot fully express the thanks for your advice and help, and I have played Morgana since I first joined League, with many breaks which impaired my progress a bit, she is indeed, however, my best mid champion if not best champion, period.
My biggest issues is one you have stated which is the CS count and the second being something I'll need to fix later down the line with IP, being the runes.

alright Rholl, on thing I've noticed from you while reading this thread:

There is a fine line between being polite, and trying to suck up and suck a ****. you are about 100 yards and the suck up side right now. You are getting some pretty in depth answers here, and that's great, but there is a limit to how creepy it gets. Say your thanks in a modest way (hey thanks man I'll work on that) vs your usual "royal" thanks and spend your energy acting on what you are being told, rather than typing an elaborate paragraph of thanks. The thanks will come later on, when you come in here and proudly post about making Bronze 4, and even later on when you post that you qualified for your Silver Promotion Series for the first time.

Actions speak louder than words ever will, let those actions be the thanks you sing.

otherwise its just creepy....

Find your playstyle, and work on it. I have a passive aggressive playstyle because I'm passive depending on who I'm playing early, but still go full on aggressive later. It really does help after you understand champ mechanics.

If you lose a ranked game, don't hit the play again button just yet. Get a drink of water, or something, and take a minute to think about what YOU (not your teammates) could have done better.

If you win a ranked game, don't hit the play again button just yet. Think about what you did well on, and what you should have done better.

Don't victimize yourself, and look at the game more objectively.
