Today, I would like to touch on a controversial subject, that is viewed differently by different people. There seems to be a common misunderstanding about champion picks in relation to the meta, and why you pick what champion when. This can lead to arguments, often in lower elo, about picking a certain champion versus another. You may even see very low rated players offering advice, so as to say something like,"What? Why would you pick lux against zed?" or "I always win lane as X champion vs Y champion."

Now, I am not going to specifically say that counter-picks don't exist or don't work across multiple tiers, but when theorycrafting a matchup, there are multiple things to consider. The most important thing to consider is that if a matchup works in your favor on paper, this assumes you are playing optimally and not making any mistakes. Most importantly, your own personal skill with certain champions, your ability to pull off different strategies, and how this relates to everyone…

Midnight Marauders has entered Mobafire Community Cup NA - January.

The roster for this tournament: Kid Huston, SummonerName, NikeDragon, cedflame, NordicMessiah, workhorse56, trebor6793.

Midnight Marauders got a bye into the second round. We waited on two teams - "Scarlet Aegis" and "The Melting Pot" - to finish their game before we'd see who we were going to play.

"The Melting Pot" beat "Scarlet Aegis" 36-2.

Our goal for this next game is to do better than "Scarlet Aegis."

Our random entry "cedflame" decided to purposefully feed after he got mad over a disagreement in our Skype call. Despite this, our goal of doing better than "Scarlet Aegis" was accomplished. We didn't give as many kills early, got more kills overall, and lasted longer.

Napoleon D was so sick of league of legends after he failed to get diamond ,so he stopped playing league of legends all together and instead went to the PvE chamber during this time Napoleon D realized there was an imposter using his name.

I'm thinking about the possibility of actually streaming league this season....not sure there's really any reason for me to bother, but it could be fun and it'll force me out of my comfort zone a bit, which I kinda need. Any thoughts/suggestions/the like?

I also found I really struggled with severe anxiety about failing, which made it hard for me to play much ranked as I constantly worried what people who don't care would think. It doesn't make me play worse really, if anything I try much harder in games because of it, it just makes me never play at all...anyone else struggle with this or have any suggestions for dealing with it? I really feel like I could have done better than Silver I, but just couldn't force myself to play enough to do so.

I have had notoriously bad luck with placement matches for the last 2 seasons. I started out on Silver III last season after pretty much failing all game long early Season 3 (before the LP system came). I started out from 1400 something and went so low as 1188. Then after the LP system came I was Silver III.
I climbed rather fast to Silver I, but I was stuck there for several months so when I finally reached Gold again I was really happy.

When Season 3 ended I was 89 points Gold I and after failing 5 promos I was rather mad my work camp happened to be on the same day the preseason began so I never got the platinum banner. But I ended up going to plat anyway, as far as Platinum IV promo which I failed the same day the Season 4 began.

I don't know about you guys, but I stressed like hell about the reset, because after all the hard work and my notoriously bad luck in placement matches, I was sure I'd have to climb up from Silver III again. Silver isn't totally bad place to be, but it's …

I always prefered to watch pros playing. YouTube is full of diamond players who commentate on their gameplay and I can't thank them enough for all the help.

I had this program - League Replays - installed for some time, but I never watched single match of mine. Why should I? I know what I did wrong and what was good, right?

Lately I bought Shaco and I find him very hard to learn in jungle, so I was pretty useless whole time. But around my 10th game with him, I won a match and I thought I was pretty OP. I could 1v1 Lee Sin and win (he was plain stupid), I split pushed and all in all I felt good about my game. Actually I felt so good about that, I just watched a replay immediately as we finished, just to stroke my ego :D

What a surprise it was, when I learned, I was outfarmed by that useless, noob

I bought a new rune page and I kinda wanna make it JUST FOR Sivir. No one else. lol. Well maybe other adc's, idk. Mostly just Sivir since I plan on maining her.

So, I was wondering...what are the best seals to use? I'm guessing just the plain damage ones. But I kinda wanna...Idk. I wanna break away from what everyone does and just DESTROY. I just don't really know that much about rune pages. Maybe I should go research...

So I just looked at my profile page and I found out that I got 400 +rep, BOOM! That means that I now have the 16th most rep of mobafire, which is quite a fun fact indeed. Besides that, as some of you might have noticed, Mowen recently asked me a few questions because I am a mobafire celebrity now awww yus. Everything seems to run smoothly on mobafire atm, the fights have been reduced heavily and mobafire is in peace, I like it <3

Mister Searz recommended me to disenchant the nerfed cards, which gave me enough dust for a new legendary! AWWWWWWWWWWW YUS. So I bought mister Mukla to add in my charity deck. Beware for the bananas, muhahaha >:)

Not really an accomplishment, but I got to experience the Elder Scrolls Online beta, and as a ex-WoW player I must say that this is the most fun I had with an MMORPG in a loooong time. I cannot say too much because bethesda doesn't want people…
