Started from the Middle.

Well my name is Dayquan, I'm 20 years old. I am currently placed in gold 5. To be honest with all of you I'm stuck but i believe its time for a change. I want to climb but every time i try and do so it just gets completely shut down by feeders and bmers. I wont let that phase me anymore i will win, i will climb i will become the Best. ( Maybe not the best but really good anyway.)

Climbing to Plat!

The Climb to Plat!

Hey guys! This is my first blog post. :)

I am currently beginning my climb out of Gold and trying to get into Plat this season. I will be updating my blog about my progress, what champions and roles I am doing, and much more. Maybe I can help you all learn some new champs to try and carry with a long the way!

I finally got into Gold 4 last night. (Woo!) Today I will be pushing for Gold 3!!

Cross your fingers that I get some decent teammates.... My plat 1 ADC friend is going to be duoing with me, so maybe that'll help a little, huh?

Recently I've picked up Karma mid/top. She's a MONSTER. Her damage and utility is bonkers..
Maybe between her, Ryze, and Vi I can get myself out of Gold.

Well, here goes nothing. If you guys have any suggestions or anything, feel free to let me know! (Such as champion choices, builds, etc.)

Happy elo grinding!

Odds and Ends, But Mostly Odds

Soloqueue Surrender Conditions

(This is predicated on the condition that you are already getting stomped.)

As long as your team isn't raging at each other, then fight the game out, especially if you have some turrets to fight under. I've had quite a few games turn when the enemy team over commits to a fight under a turret (yes, even Nexus turrets) allowing our team a chance to get back in the game.

Doran's Items vs Wards

If you are at the fountain and your inventory slots are full and you still have a Doran's item, think about what your team needs right now. If it is wards then sell your Doran's item and pick up a stack of wards. If you know a fight is brewing and those extra stats will come in handy for that then keep the Doran's item.

Overconfidence

It is great that you are fed. Hi-five. Go you. Stop running straight up Mid without the rest of your team and dying to 3+ man picks. Get the rest of your team together so they can ward and act as meat shields while you do work…

So What's The Big Deal Anyway - IE's Popularity Amongst ADCs

There are two reasons that nearly every ADC rushes this item and those are 1) It builds out of BF Swords meaning you get a huge spike of AD very early in the game. 2)Crits dealing 150% more damage is an insane late game spike in damage.

But Epigee, nobody gets IE late game, they always rush it!

Oh voice in my head right you are. The "Carry" part of the role (Attack Damage Carry) has a two-fold meaning; your team carries YOU in the early game and you carry the TEAM in the late game. The ADC's entire game therefore is focused on being able to shred people late game and their builds are a refelction of this.* Aside from the starting Doran's Blade (which provide sustain to get through the super weak early game of ADCs) every item is building towards that late game power that ADC's bring and each subsequent item is just another limb of Exodia.

Epigee, how does buying IE first make you do more damage in the late

Vladimir

Vladimir is a champ that I’ve had trouble getting a handle on. When I faced him he seemed to put out immense damage and just generally be something of a bully. However, when I played as him, I felt like I could do no damage and found myself having to go back frequently after trading and burning through all my Health Potions.

And while I’m not quite up to feeling like I can carry with him, I do feel like I’ve gotten a better handle on him and the epiphany was thus.

Support Tahm

Tahm Kench as Support

Super Troll. My buddy gets him better than I do and once he has a point in all three abilities the fun begins.

1) Walk up to an enemy laner and apply three stacks of your passive
2) Devour them
3) Walk back to your ADC and deposit them a present
4) They Flash or take a heap of damage
5) Tahm heals up the majority of the damage he took so he can just do it again when his abilities are off of cooldown.

Another thing he likes to do is waddle over to the the river bush or the lane bush like he is going to ward and instead or in addition to warding, he eats his jungler and then runs back into lane and spits the jungler at them.

Once he gets Face of the Mountain it is tower diving time as Tahm can tank a disgusting amount of tower shots (10-12?).

And in cases where you force your lane opponents off their tower, but do not quite kill them he can ult and take his adc or jungler for an

Tahm Kench

1) Turn smart cast off on his ultimate, Devour
2) Abyssal Voyage pings its target location, so if you want to surprise anyone, lock in the location and hit R again to quickly travel there, otherwise everyone will be gone or waiting for you to arrive.
3) For Top lane, Sunfire Aegis would greatly speed up his wave clear if you are going for a tank build.

Rift Scuttler

The Rift Scuttler is worth 50 gold or 65 gold if the killer has Hunter's Machete. You are screwing your team out of 15 gold if and your jungler are tag teaming it and you take the last hit.

Junglers, the Rift Scuttler is is worth a Siege Minion + a Caster Minion in gold to you. On top of that if you are under-leveled it gives you bonus XP which can help you with catching up. Make sure you are taking those things for the gold, XP, an the vision granting speed shrine.

The ease of taking the Rift Scuttler depends on the champion you are using. If you have some sort of hard CC such as a root or a stun (anything that prevents the Rift Scuttler from moving) use that on it first as it permanently (for the duration of the current spawn) makes the Rift Scuttler lose 50 Armor and 50 Magic Resistance.

So if you are
