🔵WHY ASOL IS THE BEST CHAMPION
Eplaining why Sol is the best champ requires me to quickly touch on how I believe league should be played (and how you should too 😉).
Imagine a game of league of legends where nobody dies, in this scenario no champion beats Asol as he has the best scaling of any character in the game. With enough stacks of his passive Asol has the best wave clear and can kill everyone before they can kill him. Getting to this point is your win condition.
Scale = WIN
Because no champion outscales Asol (litterally none) as long as the following conditions ar met:
1. The enemy did not roll over your team
2. You did not randomly die
3. You farmed well
You will always win provided you have the skill. As long as the game is slightly losing or better you can 1v9 the game. This is the mentality you should have going into every game. Make as few mistakes as possible -> Win.
TLDR: AS LONG AS NOBODY INTS GAME IS FREE. IF YOUR TEAM INTS AS LONG AS THEY DONT COMPLETELY FALL APART AND YOU DON'T INT GAME IS FREE.
🟢GOOD ( DO THIS )
The single most important thing on Sol is your wave management. Good wave management allows you to turn even very hard counter matchups into free wins. This is what you should be dedicating 80% of your attention to.
Sol wave manipulation as simple as possible:
Is enemy roaming?
yes - PUSH WAVE IN
no - LET THEM PUSH INTO YOU
OTHERWISE just try to keep enemy wave from crashing.
If you push the wave in and the enemy is unable to push the wave back into your turret before you can get back to it -> Look for either A) Vision (pixel brushes are good) or B) look for a gank
Wave manipulation is much more complicated than this and I would have to right an entire guide all on its own to fully explain it. If you have specific wave manipulation questions feel free to reach out to me~
In team fights usually you want to let your team to engage first (if you can find a really good angle to engage with a W - E - R then it's okay if you engage as long as you're not dying for it) and from a safe place focus on dealing as much damage as possible. It's okay if you aren't able to finish the kill if your team can clean up!
Here is a simple priority list you can follow in games:
Your Life > Vision > Farm > Objectives > Stacks > Kills
REMEMBER ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FIGHT YOUR ENEMY EVER LEAGUE IS NOT A TEAM DEATHMATCH GAME THE ONLY TIME YOU SHOULD FIGHT IS AROUND OBJECTIUES. THE ONLY WAY YOU LOSE THE GAME IS IF YOU DIE. YOUR ENEMY IS THE ONE WHO HAS TO FORCE INTO YOU, YOU DO NOT EVER HAVE TO FORCE INTO THEM.
🟡BAD ( DON'T DO THIS )
⭐DO NOT PUSH THE WAVE, YOU DO NOT NEED TO GET PRIO. LET THE ENEMY PUSH TO YOU AND TRY TO PREVENT THE WAVE FROM CRASHING. ONLY PUSH IF YOU CAN GURANTEE YOUR WAVE WILL CRASH WITHOUT PUTTING YOURSELF AT RISK.
⭐DO NOT SPAM Q IN WAVE YOUR Q EATS THROUGH YOUR MANA, USE IT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. TRY TO ONLY USE E AND AUTO ATTACKS WHEN CONTROLLING THE WAVE.
⭐DO NOT TAKE FREE DAMAGE. KEEPING YOUR HEALTH BAR AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE IS VERY IMPORANT, THIS PREVENTS ENEMIES FROM ALL INNING AND DIVING YOU. IT IS OKAY TO LOSE MINIONS IF YOU WOULD TAKE DAMAGE FOR THEM. CANON CAN BE EXCEPTION BUT TRY TO CALCULATE HOW MUCH HP YOU LOSE FOR CANON. IF IT'S A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT >10% JUST GIVE IT YOUR LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT.
⭐DO NOT FIGHT EARLY. JUST DON'T. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ENGAGE WITH THE ENEMY (if you get bored I suggest throwing on a tv show or something in the background. It's what I do 😂). OK BUT WHEN DO I FIGHT? FIGHT OVER OBJECTIVES. DO NOT GO FOR THE SOLO KILL. MINIONS ARE MORE IMPORTANT.
🟠STARTING ITEMS
Starting items:
I usually go either Tear or Dorans Ring.
Tear - Lanes where you are in no danger of being all inned (optimal item want to go as often as possible)
DRing - For when you cannot go Tear. Go this into match ups where the enmemy is looking to kill you.
🔴CONCLUSION
Hopefully this guide gives you enough information to succeed. Assuming you follow everything I've said in this guide you should have no issues reaching Master or higher.
