Introduction
THE INTRODUCTION
Hello! My name is Mackymay, I go by Macky, Mack, and Herroh in-game. I am here to show you my way of playing Evelynn, Agony's Embrace. So, while Evelynn is a simple and straight-forward champion to play, she does have a decent skill-ceiling with her stealth. Evelynn can be played almost anywhere; Top, Mid, Jungle and don't try Support, your team might be a little pissed.
Pros:
+Easy to pickup and play
+Good burst
+Perpetual invisibility (post-6)
+Great early game
+Disengage and Mobility with Last Caress
Cons:
-Falls off hard
-Useless if behind
-Hard to master

MACKY'S UNIQUENESS RATING
4/5 MUR for Evelynn
Unique Kit Aspects
Your Hate Spike is a Yasuo Steel Tempest without the knockup.
Your Allure is a unique take on the Ahri Charm
Your Whiplash is your old E with a slight jump added to it.
Your Last Caress is the counter to Azir Emperor's Divide
THE NEW RUNES
THE DOMINATION PATH
For the Keystone Rune, you take Dark Harvest to increase the damage you do with a gank by collecting the souls dropped from Minion and Jungle Creep deaths.
For your Major Rune, you bring Cheap Shot to give you a small burst of true damage to a target afflicted with your Allure.
For your First Minor Rune, you bring Ghost Poro which leaves behind a Poro upon entering brush, granting you vision of the area around the brush. You could also take Zombie Ward as a replacement for this.
As your Second Minor Rune, you're going to take Relentless Hunter for the extra permanent movement speed.
THE INSPIRATION PATH
For your Major Rune in the Inspiration path, you take Magical Footwear so that you don't have to waste gold on boots because you're getting them for free at around the same time you'd be buying them.
For your Minor Rune within Inspiration, you bring Hextech Flashtraption so that you have a fallback source of mobility after you've used Flash.
EVE'S ABILITIES
YOUR Q:
Your Hate Spike is the first ability that you max. It gives you a semi-decent clear speed and good damage in 1v1s. This is the BnB ability for your kit.
YOUR W:
Your Allure is basically Ahri Charm. You use it on your target and wait for it to charge and then go in. Max this ability last.
YOUR E:
Your Whiplash is your secondary damage source. This ability is a reliable way to stick to your target and deal continuous damage with your Q, Hate Spike.
YOUR ULTIMATE:
Finally, your ultimate: Last Caress. This ability has a few uses, the obvious one being damage. Last Caress serves as an execute ability, doing more damage the lower HP your target is. A secondary use can be engage/disengage. Because of the teleport effect on Last Caress, you can use it as an escape or a way to jump into the thick of a fight. It's up to your decision making to make your ultimate useful.
ITEMIZATION OPTIONS
For items, you have a pretty broad spectrum of items you can buy. Evelynn can still build AD or AP, depending on the needs of your team so there still are those AD Assassin builds out there. There are even Attack Speed carry builds for Eve. Like I said, broad spectrum. The build featured in this guide is a mix of tank stats and Ability Power.
STARTING ITEMS
Always start Hunter's Talisman and Refillable Potion.
You could potentially swap the Talisman for Machete but that should generally be reserved for either Red-side starts or AD-build games.
Upgrade the Refillable Potion to Hunter's Potion on your first back.
CORE ITEM BUILD
Your first big item purchase is the Tracker's Knife - Runic Echoes. This can be replaced by Enchantment: Bloodrazor or Enchantment: Warrior.
After that, buy Rod of Ages for the HP and Mana stats. This item enables a bruiser-burstmage playstyle.
Then pick up Sorcerer's Shoes after you receive your boots from Magical Footwear.
After boots, purchase a Lich Bane for insane 1v1 damage.
SITUATIONAL ITEMS
Liandry's Torment- This item could replace Rod of Ages in your build. Purchase this in games where the enemy team has tanks stacking MR.
Hextech Rocketbelt- This item cannot replace any of the core items I stated above, but it can fit into the build after Lich Bane.
Rabadon's Deathcap- Want tons of damage? Get this when fed.
I did not list all of the other situational items because I do not feel like throwing them all in here would help as much as some of the other critical information.
TIPS FOR YOUR RANKED GAMES
1.) Evelynn is great for stomping SoloQueue. There isn't a bad time to pick her.
2.) Against Duelists like Warwick, go with the Attack Speed/On-Hit build with Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor.
3.) Don't be afraid to experiment with your build, even in ranked games. There isn't much you can do to create a bad situation for yourself on Evelynn.
