Activity

In this chapter I'll add some scores I've made with this build, just to prove how good it can be.

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to my Akali guide.

With this guide, I will explain a little more about a jungle Akali, how sucessfull it can be, and how to jungle properly.

I will tell you what masteries/runes you can use, how to build her, and which creeps you should kill first.

Enjoy!

Why jungle?

Well, Akali is a really powerfull champion when it comes to ganks, and when you're in a lane, you won't really "shine" until you are level 6 when you get your ultimate.

So, with the right masteries, runes and itens, you are able to jungle Pretty well, and when you get to level 6, you will be the enemie's team nightmare.

With your amazing burst damage, and abilty to chase them, they won't even notice what happened.

So yeah It's silly not to have a jungle Akali in team.

Pros/Cons

Pros

- Amazing burst damage.
- Ability to chase them down.
- A nice abilty for stealth. (With this, you can just stealth in the middle of a teamfight, increase bush range, to slow the enemy or just to run away, and plus, it gives you Armor/Magic Resist.)
- Awesome at ganks.
- With Rylai's Soulscepter combined with your ultimate, they won't be able to run away from you.
- Amazing at jungle.

Cons

- She doesn't really shine until level 6.
- If the enemy team builds magic resist, you won't hurt them that much.
- If the enemy team buys oracle and focus you all the time, you will be useless.
- Doesn't have any CC.

Runes

1x Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage - Having one of these is essencial for a jungle Akali, the +2.25 AD combined with Doran's Blade and Brute Force will activate your passive at level 1, and it will help you jungling more easily.

2x Greater Quintessence of Magic Penetration - Magic penetration, It's obvious why you will want them. Magic penetration will boost your burst damage a lot, and of course is perfect against tanks.

9x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration - For the same reason as the quintessences.

9x Greater Glyph of Focus - Well, all your damage will come out from your skills, Cool down reduction will make them a little more spamable.

9x Greater Seal of Evasion - A few % dodge chance will add a few more points in your survivability.

Other Options:

1x - Lesser Quintessence of Attack Damage Instead of 1 Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage It's cheaper, and you will still be able to activate your passive at level 1.

9x - Greater Seal of Defense - If you don't want to take the Greater Seal of Evasion you can get these ones, it will helps you boost your armor when your inside of Twilight Shroud

Masteries

Well, the masteries are seted up for a jungle build, I'll try to explain a little bit more.

Plentiful Bounty - Reduced cooldown on smite and gives you an extra 5 gold when used.

Offensive Mastery - +4 damage to minions, perfect for jungle at low levels.

Brute Force - This is essencial to activate your passive at level 1, combined with the Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage and Doran's Blade

Awareness - You will start jungling at the double golem at bottom, without this masterie you won't get level 2 from them.

Utility Mastery - This will increase the time of neutral monster buffs, any jungler should have this.

Items

For the itens, I like to build a pure Ability Power Akali, her burst damage is insane, and all her skills use Ability Power.

There are many ways to build her, but there are a few itens that I think It's essencial to have, such as:

Rylai's Crystal Scepter - It gives you HP, Ability Power, and Slows the enemy, combined with all your skills, noone will be able to run away from you.

Lich Bane - This item is perfect for Akali, the damage that comes after you use an ability will be insane, and for turrets will be perfect, afer you get a Rabadon's Deathcap you will deal a lot of damage to turrets, of course you will need to spam Crescent Slash to activate Lich Bane

Rabadon's Deathcap - This item will give you an incredible boost in your Ability Power, It's essencial for sure.

These itens are the ones I think that any Akali should have, They perfectly fit for her role, It's just silly not build at least a Rylai's Crystal Scepter, the rest you can build whatever you want, but I would reccomend more Ability Power itens or just an defensive item.

For Defense

Banshee's Veil - I really like this item, usually I use it against an heavy caster team or just against a team with lots of CC.

Quicksilver Sash - It's a nice item agaisnt an heavy cc team, It's common that the enemy team focus on you during a teamfight, and silences/stuns etc will mostly kill you every time, use Quick SIlver Slash to get out alive.

Skill Sequence

For the skills, you will start with Mark of the Assassin, It will deal the most damage when your jungling, at level 2 you learn Crescent Slash, Mark of the Assassin then Crescent Slash will be your basic combo, use it every time you can.

At level 3 you level up Mark of the Assassin, and at level 4 Crescent Slash, and I think you got the point, focus on Mark of the Assassin and after that Crescent Slash.

At level 6 you learn Shadow Dance and your ready to gank.

You will only learn Twilight Shroud at level 7, since you don't need it for jungle and it isn't really much usefull at level 6 gank.

Your basic combo agaisn an enemy will be, Shadow Dance > Mark of the Assassin > Crescent Slash, do that till he dies, or if your out of energy and the enemy is escaping with low hp, just finish him with Ignite
Back to Top

Summoner Spells

As for Summoner Spells, I always choose:

Ignite - This will be your finish move agaisnt any enemy, use it well.

Smite - Well, your a jungler, this spell will make it a lot easier.

Of course you can choose other spells over Ignite, such as:

Clairvoyance - It's actually a nice Spell for Akali, you can combine it with Shadow Dance to catch/flee an enemy.

Flash - I don't really like to take it on Akali, but of course it depends on the player, it can be used to run away, combined with Twilight Shroud, or just to catch an enemy if you don't have any stacks left on Shadow Dance.

Ghost - It can be used to get Shadow Dance in range or just to get close to the enemy or get faster into the teamfight, but I don't really like to take this on Akali

The other spells I don't really think they fit in Akali, but it all depends in what you like the most.

Creeping / Jungling

Finally! I could record myself a better video for an Akali jungle routine, I hope this one works better than the other one, since It's a little bit more detailed, and it's done on a normal game so no more bot tower diving or shen using ultimate on me!

This is the old video, if by any meaning you prefere this one, you can just check it out, it was recorded by 2 friends of mine while I was jungling on a custom game. And I'm really sorry about the fails from bots... After all... Their just bots right?

I tried to take a few screenshots of me ingame, that's if you want to try a diferent routine from the video or if you find it easier.

1

First, head to the double golem, don't forget to use smite in one of them.

Now, head to the wolves, you will only have a little hp at this moment, so be carefull, kill the small ones first. After them, you can recall.

The next ones will be the wraiths, use smite in the big one, and then kill the other 3.

Now go back to the double golem, this tie you won't need the smite, just kill them normally.

After that, head to the wolves again, kill the small ones first, and after them, recall and buy Amplifying Tome

Now, this one is optional, if you want you can kill the lizzard, and again, kill the small ones and use smite on the lizzard.

Now head back to the wraiths, you might not be able to kill them all, but kill the ones you can, after that you can recall and buy Boots

Now go back to the double golem, they will be easy.

Now It's time for the wolves again.

This one is optional too, but you can take the blue buff, don't forget to kill the small ones first and use smite on the golem.

Well, this one is the final wave, after you kill the double golem you get level 6 and you can start ganking, after you kill them, recall, so you can buy Null-Magic Mantle and prepare your stacks on Shadow Dance.

Team Work

When it comes to team work, Akali is always the ganker/finisher.

Akali never initiates, and she only goes after all the team is in the teamfight, she will come when noone is expecting her to be there.
If you initiate a teamfight, you will mostly be focused and die unecessary, so make sure you only initiate if your sure to get a kill and get out alive, or if the enemy is alone.

Akali has an amazing burst damage, but her survivabilty ain't that great, in a teamfight you just go to get a kill or to help your allies, remember she doesn't have any CC, so if you want to help your allies getting alive you can only slow them down with Twilight Shroud or with any of your skills after you get Rylai's Crystal Scepter
