Hey O it is BonusSatis how is it going guys? Today we are going to be looking at a Amumu Jungle Build Guide this is going to cover a AP build, a tank build and a third option when everything gets FUBAR. This will also be covering core items, arguments for or against other times, runes, and masteries.

So first off there are a lot of different items that can be built on Amumu and there are two different styles of building him; Ap and Tank. My build allows for flexibility for each style. So let's take look at his first three items. They are Stalker's blade with cinderhulk, boots of Lucidity and Hextech Protobelt. The first half of the build gives us 700 Health, 20%CDR, 60 AP and 180 Mana Regen. This is a solid base which allows us to gank, clear jungle and skirmish safely.

Now for the flex, simply put if the team is winning push that advantage and go with these items.
Abyssal Scepter, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter and Liandry’s Torment. This will give you an additional 215 AP, 600H, 60MR, and 10%CDR. This will give us enough potency to 1v1 and help nuke the squishies in the team fights.

A few things to mention about these items, the Protobelt is great when playing the front linder, it is like a poormans flash, so it is very helpful with positioning. The crystal scepter stacks with amumu's W so when active a constant slow will apply to all champions around you. Liandry's Torment will do additional magic penetration, which will stack with Amumu's passive for a huge amount of health being shredded.

Now for the flex, simply put if the team is losing become a lane pushing tank to save the game, and go with these items.
Zz’Rot Portal, Banner of command, and banshee’s Veil. This will give you 155MR, 115 Armor, 400 Mana, 10%CDR, and 300 Health. This will allow you to be more resistant to burst AP damage, you will still be a solid front liner and gives two lane pushing items.

A few things to mention about these items, we still have the protobelt for flexibility of movement, but the biggest point is that two different lanes can be passively buffed or make a very strong single lane. This means that you can force the other team to split giving you advantage in team fights.

Now for the Flex, simply put if the team needs a tank you can be there friend, and go with these items.
Dead Man’s Plate, Spirit Visage, and Warmog’s Armor, this will give you 1800 health, 50 Armor, 50MR and 20%CDR. This will allow you stand in the breech, face the wrath of God and still walk away.

A few things to mention about these items, The deadmans passive will boost you for some amazing speed to make ganks and will help to push you to lanes when they need help. The warmogs passive will kick in which will allow you to heal for a stupid amount of health allowing you to have a constant presence on the map so you will only need to recall for buying.

Ok so that was a core build with three different flex builds that all mesh well together to fit any situation. Now let's look at some other items are are good but did not quite make it into the builds.

First in the lineup is Rod of Ages, to my surprise I actually saw this on quite a few builds. Eh, ok, here is my biggest problem with it, Amumu already has a weak early game. Around around the 30 minute mark is where you will have a purchased and fully grown ROA, that is not very helpful. So a mid game item is just going to make the early game that much worse.

Next is Frozen Heart, I love this item, it is great but it is not what we need. Unless the opposing team is like 4/5 AD champions this is not a good item it is very situational. Plus it locks you into a build, it does not allow for much flexibility when trying to have other items stack or mesh with it.

Lastly Thorn Mail, I swear that this item into the game just so players would be like, ‘yo this is so op i am going for it’, it is like click bait but instead it is eh...item bait. At first glance it seems ok but when you break down what it gives for the price it is not worth while. So short argument on it is; it really, really needs health, anything over 150 armor points on a champion is mathematically a waste of money, and lastly for the passive AA champions is so not the meta nor will be for a long time.

Now for some good items on Amumu but did not make the build,

Iceborn Gauntlet, i love it, it has CDR, armor, and extra damage from the built in spell blade. The biggest draw back is that after a amumu Q he stuns them for 1 second, the passive of Iceborn lasts for 2. That means we only get half of the slow. It also activates off of any of his abilities but when compared to Rylai’s which can slow a whole team it fell short.

Next is Redemption, this is a good item and honestly it can be switched out for Banshee's Veil in the “my team is losing” build. It will give health, CDR, and it’s active when properly used can turn the tide of a fight. So solid item keep this one in mind.

Until next time GLHF
