Good build, but I would go Catalyst->Mercury->Guinsoo->Banshee->Nashor->Hextech. Guinsoo + Nashor = awesome

I haven't actually tried Lich Bane, really, I just felt it would be a good addition if you felt like it. Might try it later. I'll be sure to mention you if I change it.

As you seem to be focused on DPS output, i don't think LB is an "alternative" item.

I don't like ROA but it's kind of a "general" thing for me, don't know why, except for Singed, i can't stand this item. Mejai should be done first so you could benefit from early kills/assists.

If you manage to play safe, i'd go for Mejai-Treads-Nashor-LB-Hextech-Zhonya. But as anyone can see, this lacks in survivability, and here's the point : depending on opponents and how the game's going, you could insert a Banshee or a Thornmail (best armor per gold item, adding a little dps too) somewhere. If anything has to be thrown away, i'd throw the Mejai, as it's quite "unsure".

Ha, you're right. Never saw that before. Thanks! I hate to put another AD item in there, so I'm gonna say Zhonya's. Just to keep the AP spirit alive.

I mean that you should get banshee's veil later. After you've got some dmg items, not where you've placed your roa.

Tiamat is mostly for the splash dmg, so that you can lifesteal like crazy. And now that i think about it; I don't think I'd actually get Last Whisper. Just felt like mentioning an attack speed item :S

As for the dual "tooths"; you do know that the cdr is a unique passive, right? So with 2 of them you still only get 25%cdr.. Even another Hextech Gunblade would be a better choice.

Rod of Ages gives more Health and Mana as well as AP. Banshee's doesn't improve Kayle's DPS at all, but it might be a good alternative. I get two Tooth's mainly because of the CDR, but since this is AP Kayle, I can't justify getting a damage-only item like Last Whisper or Tiamat. I would replace it with Guinsoo's if anything. Also, I did say you could go 0/21/9 or 9/21/0 in my guide.

I have no idea why you'd get a rod of ages over Banshee's Veil.. When paired with Guinsoo's Rageblade Kayle can get all kinds of nasty on the enemy team ^^
The double Tooths are stupid.. Get only one, there are much better items availible for the second slot. Like Last Whisper and Tiamat among others.

You should also consider attack speed marks, they're nice.

Tank masteries are awesome with Kayle. Since she's a fighter with spash and has a very annoying ulti most enemies will focus Kayle early. Ardor and Strength of Spirit are also reasons to go def, they're both very nice.

That 'calculation' thing doesn't even have Nashor's Tooth in the AP build. Stacking Archangel's staffs seems like a horrible way to play Kayle. These 'calculations' are obviously biased and I fail to see how they apply to my build. Also, you can't really call the 'AD Kayle' one AD because of the Tooth's. If it were AD Kayle it would go straight AD.

DPSing is all about striking a good balance between Damage/Attack Speed (In Kayle's case AD and/or AP/Atk. Spd). Even if you have massive AD, it won't do you much good if you only hit once per second. Nashor's Tooth (as I explained right in my build) gives you a nice boost to attack speed whilst simultaneously giving you CD reduction, Mana regen and AP.
