Introduction
Please note-I am very inexperienced with BB-Coding, and this is my first guide, so don't expect anything extraordinary. I am open to all suggestions regarding the build, items, and how the guide is written, alongside help with BB-Coding.
Passive: Lightslinger: After using one of Lucian's abilities, his next auto attack within 6 seconds will strike twice. The second shot deals 50% of Lucian's AD, but fully applies on-hit effects. Minions and monsters take full damage from the second shot. The second shot can critically strike.
Notes-This is what makes Lucian synergize so well with sheen. In total, you're doing two autoattacks worth of damage, plus ability damage. not to mention the scaling of Lich Bane and Nashor's Tooth.
Q: Piercing Light: After a 0.35 second delay, Lucian fires a laser in the direction of the target enemy, dealing physical damage to all enemies in a 1100-unit line. Minions take 75% damage.
Notes-This is one of the few targeted spells that can be dodged during the delay. Plan accordingly.
I do not use this spell for damage-I use it mostly to proc Sheen and Lich Bane.
W: Ardent Blaze: Lucian fires a shot that explodes in a cross pattern upon hitting an enemy or reaching the end of its path, dealing magic damage and marking enemies hit for 6 seconds.
If Lucian damages a marked target with his basic attacks or abilities, he gains 40 movement speed for 2 seconds. This does not consume the mark.
Notes: This is the skill you want to max first. It has the highest AP ratio(besides your ult) and is great for kiting.
E: Relentless Pursuit: Lucian dashes a short distance and removes all slowing effects. Relentless Pursuit's cool down resets if Lucian scores a kill or assist during The Culling.
Notes: This will not reset if you get a kill with shots from The Culling after the channel duration of The Culling has ended.
R: The Culling: Lucian starts firing shots in the target direction for 3 seconds, each shot dealing physical damage to the first enemy it hits. The amount of shots fired scales with his attack speed. The Culling is considered a channeled ability and it can be interrupted, but Lucian can move freely (including movement abilities) without interrupting it himself.
Reactivate The Culling to cancel the ability early.
The Culling deals quadruple damage to minions but not monsters.
Notes: Use this when you want to kite, deal damage while running, or when someone is locked down to melt them( Cataclysm, ETC)

In the laning phase of the game, you want to farm as much as possible. Lucian does not have a large amount of kill potential inlane, unless he has a jungler with high cc such as Xin Zhao or Jarvan IV. I typically back at about 1300-1400 gold. At that point, I can buy myself a Sheen, a ward or two, and some potions.
DO NOT spam your abilities. You will run out of mana very fast-only use an ability if you are 99% sure it will hit and do some damage, and try not to waste your passive/ Sheen procs as well.

Probably wondering why I build Lucian AP. Well, first off, with his passive, he synergizes very well with Lich Bane and Nashor's Tooth.
All other items in the build are to make Lich Bane and Nashor's Tooth hurt more, and ramp up the damage on The Culling.
I get Zhonya's Hourglass next because in teamfights, The Culling and Ardent Blaze will do a very large amount of damage-it's likely youre going to get focused. Zhonya's Hourglass will drop focus on you and give your allies time to peel for you.
Rabadon's Deathcap gives you alot of damage, and Rylai's Crystal Scepter gives you slows to help escape if you get in over your head in a poor teamfight.

If someone on your team has an ultimate like Cataclysm or is a champion like Thresh or Leona you should try to use The Culling on champions who they lock down. if you cant do that, then use The Culling on whoever gets in your way, and burn them to the ground.
