As of may 7th we've just hit 1 million+ views! HOLY FREAKING POO GUYS, DIDN'T EVEN THINK I WOULD GET ANYWHERE TO 200k VIEWS! THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!<3
As of August 16th we've hit 2 million views and it's the #1 Sivir guide on mobafire!!!! Thank you soooo much guys!!!!
This is my first guide so dont be really rough on me. I am a 15 year old teenager from Lithuania(EUNE) who mains Azir. I don't play Sivir as often because I don't like the state of the meta right now, but I still play Sivir on some occasions. I play other roles also, my main ones being Top lane and Jungle/Mid lane(depending on my mood). I got to Silver 3 in season 5 and I hope to reach high gold in season 6. This is my OP.GG
I also sometimes stream!
Pros / Cons
+ A really fun champ to play
+ A lot of AOE DMG in teamfights
+ Can turn around teamfights with ult
+ Has a Spell Shield
+ Not really hard to play
- Gets bullied by higher range ADC's
- Missing your Boomerang Blade will hurt you a lot
- Doesn't have a dash or a blink like a lot of ADC's
- She relies a lot on positioning
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Mana Regeneration
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed
For quints, you can have full AD, AS ones or either 1 AD quint and 2 AS quints.
Fury - You get it because you obviously need the AS as an ADC.
Feast / Double Edged Sword - This is more of a prefference pick.
Feast helps you sustain through the laning phase and Double Edged Sword scales better into the late game. I pick Feast because it's a bit of a safer option.
Vampirism / Natural Talent - Vampirism plus Doran's Blade gives you 5% lifesteal level 1 which can save your a** in a lot of situations but if you're confident with yourself, pick Natural Talent
Bounty Hunter / Oppressor - As Sivir doesn't have any CC by herself this is the mastery I would go for. I wouldn't count on soloq supports that much, but if you're playing with a person you know you should pick Oppressor .
Battering Blows - This one is a nobrainer. Why in the hell would you choose magic pen as an ADC, OVER 7% ARMOR PEN??? Always get this on any AD champ
Fervor of Battle - Now that Warlord's Bloodlust has been reworked, I don't see any good things in it for Sivir. Like yeah, it gives you lifesteal depending on your missing health, it sound good and all, but you're going to build The Bloodthirster anyway and you should be in the backlines doing damage. Fervor of Battle just outclasses it hard, atleast for ADC's. It also gives you 112 physical damage on hit at level 18. I don't suggest you taking Warlord's Bloodlust anymore and as of patch 6.4 Fervor of Battle is the go to mastery for Sivir
Savagery - Helps you last hit.
Secret Stash - Potions heal for more
Merciless - You deal more damage to them while they're lower than 40% HP so why not pick it?
Dangerous Game - Is a great mastery for saving your a** in unexpected situations.
I hope you now know what masteries to use! (Masteries fixed!)
Fleet of Foot
Sivir gains 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 bonus movement speed for 2 seconds when she damages an enemy champion with an ability or basic attack.
A really nice passive for keeping up with enemies and/or chasing them.
Boomerang Blade RANGE: 1250; SPEED: 1350; COST: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 MANA; COOLDOWN: 9
ACTIVE: Sivir hurls her crossblade in the target direction, which then returns to her. Units in its path take physical damage, with 15% reduced damage to each subsequent target, down to a minimum of 40%.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 25 / 45 / 65 / 85 / 105 (+ 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110% AD) (+ 50% AP)
「 MAXIMUM PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 46.25 / 83.25 / 120.25 / 159.1 / 194.25 (+ 129.5 / 148 / 166.5 / 185 / 203.5% AD) (+ 92.5% AP) 」
Each unit can be damaged only once per pass.
Your main damaging spell. You have to use it everywhere. Really good damage when fed and also good for poking and finishing off enemies.
Ricochet COST: 60 MANA; COOLDOWN: 12/10.5/9/7.5/6
ACTIVE: For 4 seconds Sivir's next 3 basic attacks bounce to nearby unaffected units, dealing them physical damage, until none remain in range.
「 BOUNCE DAMAGE: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80% AD 」
If Sivir critically strikes her target, the bounces will also critically strike.
Ricochet resets Sivir's autoattack timer.
This acts as an attack speed steroid, it also is an auto attack reset ability. Use it always in teamfights. This ability has been buffed and now critically strikes if the first AA crit's! YAY!
Spell Shield COOLDOWN: 22 / 19 / 16 / 13 / 10
ACTIVE: Sivir blocks the next enemy ability used on her within the next 1.5 seconds, restoring mana upon a successful block.
MANA RESTORED: 80 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 mana
That's what stands out about Sivir. This skill separates a good Sivir player and an average Sivir player. She can dodge any displacement ability, roots, projectile and some other types of spells. I won't be going into them because he list is huge. You can check out what you can dodge by clicking here but do note that some ability dodges might be outdated.
On The Hunt RANGE: 1000; COST: 100 MANA; COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80
PASSIVE: Sivir gains bonus attack speed while Ricochet.png Ricochet is active.
BONUS ATTACK SPEED: 40 / 60 / 80%
ACTIVE: Sivir rallies all nearby allies for 8 seconds, granting them and herself 60% bonus movement speed that decays to 20% after a few seconds.
INITIAL MOVEMENT SPEED DURATION: 2 / 3 / 4
So, this is her special ability that can turn around teamfights and games. It give you and your allies a speedboost and it helps chase down enemies or just catch them off guard, you can also run away with it. Abuse this ability even if you need to chase down only 1 person, but when it gets on cooldown, you need to be cautious because you don't have any other escape ability.
This is her kit. She doesn't have that much damage but she has a lot of utility. She has one of the best kits for solo queue!
You choose Ricochet at level 1 because you want to get that level 2 before the enemy bot laners. You get Boomerang Blade at level 2 because you want to have more damage than them. At level 3 you get your Spell Shield. Try to poke them as much as possible with your Boomerang Blade, because you can just restore the lost mana with your Spell Shield.
Leveling order goes like this:
On The Hunt> Boomerang Blade> Ricochet> Spell Shield
The Preseason patch brought a lot of new items and item changes, so some picks are now better or not as good for Sivir.
Doran's Blade, Health Potion, Warding Totem. I think this is still the best start, atleast for me. Cull might be viable but I personally don't really like it because it's risky. Doran's Blade gives you more combat stats early + the Vampirism mastery = 5% lifesteal level 1, so thats why I thinks it's really good.
Get the Farsight Alteration as soon as you hit level 9. It's just a great ward overall and can save you in some situations.
You get Infinity Edge as a first item and you get Boots of Speed in the middle of the purchase of Infinity Edge. The reason why you want IE as a first item is that you're not an attack speed ADC. You want crit's and AD. Plus it also adds a really good enchancement on your crits.
You want to get Berserker's Greaves because you start to lack some AS and you need that sweet movement speed as Sivir. Nothing to say more, get them always after Infinity Edge.
Statikk Shiv works really well on her, more than Phantom Dancer does. You get that sweet sweet movement speed and attack speed. The item also has a unique passive which critically strikes, so it add's a lot of burst and damage that Sivir lacks a bit. In season 5 would be getting Phantom Dancer if you got fed and Statikk Shiv if you were falling behind. Now, Statikk Shiv is just a core item on Sivir that you can't skip out.
Then you want to start building The Bloodthirster because most of the time you end laning phase when you get Statikk Shiv and in teamfight's you start lacking sustain. You get a nice shield from The Bloodthirster and quite a bit of AD. The reason that you get The Bloodthirster instead of Blade of the Ruined King is that you dont need the extra attack speed, because you get it from your Ricochet. And with the preseason changes to Sivir, her Ricochet attack speed steroid after level 6 can now stay a bit longer in late game. So you just spam it in late game.
After The Bloodthirster you usually want to get Last Whisper. You can get it earlier if they start stacking armor against you. Now the upgrade depends if they start stacking health or no. If they have quite some tanks and even their main damagers are tanky like Malzahar and Kassadin you want to be getting Lord Dominik's Regards, if they dont stack HP that much, you can just get Mortal Reminder.
Guardian Angel isn't really that good anymore. It got it's price increased to 2900g from 2800g and it revives you at only 750 health and 350 mana which is not really that good. Plus, it doesn't give you that many stats, only 60 flat armor and magic resist and a revive passive only. I would get this early if I get really fed and I want to slay teams, but you should sell it when you reach late game, and get Banshee's Veil.
The best item out of all of these listed defensive ones is Banshee's Veil. I remember when I didn't respect this item and I almost never got it. But the times have changed and it's just a great item. You get another spellshield with it, 500 HP, 70 magic resist and 100 % base health regeneration. All of these things that this item provides improves Sivir's durability in teamfights, you can stay longer in fights, you can dodge more CC that is coming from their team, the use of things that Banshee's Veil provides are just endless!
ALWAYS GET IT ON NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Randuin's Omen is another great defensive item, altough I only pick it agains heavy AD compositions(all champions are AD). It also helps you duel enemy autoattackers because Randuin's Omen slows their attack speed by 15% for 1 second and it also has a nice unique active which slows them and helps you slow them.
As of patch 6.9 Mercurial Scimitar no longer removes Zed ult, because it only removes crowd control and doesn't remove debuffs. So try to ban zed if you can. But it is still very good, because we're seeing a lot of cc comps in this meta. With the preseason patch it not only gives you AD and MR but lifesteal also, so combined with the bloodthirster you get 30% lifesteal, that's pretty huge.
So that's pretty much it for items, I hope it's a bit more clear now that I have explained it.
Laning phase combines these 2 key things: farming and early game. I'm gonna talk how you should farm and what you should do in it. Lets begin!
This should be your #1 priority in the laning phase. Dont auto attack the creeps last hit them. By last hitting I mean you should attack the minion when it's low and you know you will take it with 1 auto attack. By perfect circumstances you should have 80+ creep score by 10 minutes, but dont feel bad or lose confidence if you have like let's say 50 CS at 10 minutes, look at your teammates and check their creep score, if you have the most CS in the team, you're doing just fine! Always try to be in the top of your team by CS. CS'ing is mistake I do and I want to say to every ADC main out there: LAST HIT, NOT AUTO ATTACK.
In the early game you should mainly focus farming but if you have an advantage over them also harass the enemy bot lane. If they are scared of you in bottom try denying their farm. Your main goal is to stay alive and go back to base at +1300g because you want to get a B. F. Sword. In early game you have to cooperate with your support a lot but in solo queue that's not really possible, but you can try. If you see your support( Leona, Alistar, Thresh), mainly the aggro supports) going in ham on the enemies dont leave him and try to rek them. But if you're low on hp or mana try to ping him to retreat. Because you dont really know what your solo queue support is up to, you have to mainly make your own plays. It depends if you're playing with a friend and you are both talking on Skype etc.
Let's go to the next chapter.
Mid - Late game and teamfights
Most of the time you end laning phase at the start of mid game(somewhere around level 8 to 14) and you start roaming to other lanes(most of the time to mid). Teamfights start happening etc.
I'm gonna talk about what should be your objectives at this time of the game!
You should always stay in the backline, because you're an ADC the main source of physical damage, and you're not the one who sacrifices yourself to the enemy team. No matter what, try to live in teamfights and push out as much damage as possible. Let the tanks initiate and then proceed to do your job which is of course killing/lowering their HP bars.
So at this time of the game teamfights and bigger skirmishes start happening. You should always stay with your support and if he leaves you to roam you should not walk alone. Don't do stupid skirmishes and DO NOT GO IN 1v2 EVEN IF YOU'RE FED. Your main objectives at this time should be towers, dragon and maybe even baron (if you're all fed and want to finish the game). You don't want to take baron and dragon at random times, for example it's not a good idea to go for these objectives if theyre alive, try to do it when they're all dead or most of them are. But IF YOU THINK YOU CAN SNEAK A FAST BARON OR DRAGON AND YOU'RE NOT RISKING LOSING TOWERS OR INHIBITOR, DO IT, JUST DO IT. Some games just end here if you have quite a lead and you're still pulling the lead. But don't give up, I had enough of these stupid games where the winning team starts throwing the lead(Thats why instead of solo queue I call it yolo queue. Basically if your team has the lead don't do crazy things at any cost. And if your on the losing side just try to group and stay toghether, take objectives and WAIT TILL THEY MAKE MISTAKES, TAKE THEM OUT 1 BY 1 IF THEY JUST JUMP ONTO YOUR TEAM, FOCUS THE MOST FED IF YOU CAN. Whenever you ace them try to get towers and if you can't, do a quick dragon or a baron .
This is the part where Sivir shines. Your crits destroy teams with little effort and everyone kneels in front of you. Jokes aside, this is the really serious part of the game where if you want to win you have to tryhard like Faker. Treat every death as a loss, because death timers go up to 70 seconds. Try grouping with your team because you will be picked of easily if you go alone anywhere on the map. Always fight as a team, don't be that stereotypical Vayne main who goes in 1v5 and then blames the team, please don't. Your main objectives are Baron , Dragon , towers and inhibitors. You might think in your head "But Senpai Dikas, how do I get them safely?", you try sneaking it or either getting them aced and then doing it. If you have a lead in the game just ult to them with your team, pop your W, Q and if they throw important cc to you press your E and rush them down to the gray screen. If you do it correctly you will most likely win the game. If you're behind and you're playing Sivir then it's going to be way harder to do that, sometimes even impossible. As I said, just group with your team, try picking off those who walk alone or make some kind of mistake and thats how you will be regaining your lead.
