Threats to Sona with this build
|Soraka||AHAHA good one. if you loose this you need practice. you outrange, outscale, and outdamage raka. Easy bot lane.|
Heyo, What's up?
Hello, my summoner name is Shadowst3p9 and i am a Sona support main. I will try and help you grasp a champion that isnt very hard to play with and support on. you can always shoot me a freind request too if you need tips
Why my runes are totally different then what you usually see
I know this may seem unorthodox but i say you can use whatever runes you like. i mix and match and it works flawlessly. i dont place a large emphasis on the help they provide, but dont get all mad and rage because of this. its all up to what you are comfortable with.
The no brainer mastery pick in the building
Windspeakers provides an unbeatable boost for your clutch healing that cannot be replaced no matter what. No matter how tempting thunderlords seems, always keep windspeakers.
So why do i build what i do?
I always build eye, because the vision that it provides is unrivaled, and the passive goes nicely with giving sona free gold. I always buy pinks for vision in case of early ganks without a sightstone or when i am out of wards. Chalice into Athenes is the most important item that sona absolutely needs for the game. Sona blows through mana healing, and Athenes provides the vital sustain, plus the 6.10 patch gave Athenes a must have abiliy for clutch healing in pre-mitigation charges. Boots are a given. Locket is a must have active, and give some much needed MR to help in case that pesky Mid mage is fed. The last two items can be any AP item, but i prefer to use liandry's and rylais for the passives, they make teamfighting really managable and give benifical stats for sustin, these are late game items only and shouldnt be prioritized.
The tutorial chapter
Sona is an easily grasped champion with a unique skill set and invaluable teamfighting potential. Her passive provides an AA with a special effect for every three spells cast, with the effect changing based on the last spell cast. This passive can be changed even after the three spell casts, letting the player game the system for the desired effect. Sona's Q spell is a potent poke ability, automatically pioritizing champions to deal damage and providing a buff to allies that increases their damage on their next auto attack.Sona's passive effect with this spell is that the damage from her passive is increased 40%.Sona's W is a potent heal that increases based on how much health the person receiving the heal has left. The passive effect with this spell is that the enemey hit by the auto attack has their damage output reduced by 20%, equaling half an exhaust, thus invaluable against fed opponents. Sona's E is a speed boost spell, and is amazing for slick escapes. Her passive from E is a speed reducing effect, and is great for stopping an enemy from escaping. Sona has one of the most potent ults in the game, with her's doing a good deal of damage, and causing an un-avoidable 1.5 second stun. I always call this the insta-kill button, as with a good team a sona ult will equal a kill or more, almost always winning teamfights.
In conclusion, Sona is a very potent support that is rarely countered at all when played smartly, and can provide game changing support at vital points. Feel free to ask/add me on League @ Shadowst3p9
