I actually shouldn't have listed Warmog's Armor as a core item, as it isn't always I get it. I prefer not to get it when they have a Kog'Maw, as you mentioned, or a Warwick with a Madred's Bloodrazor. I also hate to get it against one as Vayne as her W does insane damage against it.
Also got the coding error fixed, thanks for telling me about it. Hadn't noticed it at all.
When I get some time, I'll definitely add a part about how to solo top, as it sounds like a fantastic idea. I can't believe I haven't thought about it yet.
Pretty much everything you said sounded like a great idea. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it ;)
Minor issue, there's a coding error on your Shadow Dash when you're explaining what it does.
You do call this a solo top guide, so it might help to include a section on how to play Shen in the top lane.
Your opening look at items shows Heart of Gold as a final purchase. I imagine you're building it into Randuin's in most games, but you should probably add it at the top.
Regarding Warmog's Armor. I really don't see it as a tank item. This may sound stupid, as it gives the most health in the game, but if you build Shen with about 3k health and resistances in the mid 200's, he will be much harder to kill, and much less vulnerable to that Kog'Maw with a bloodrazor. Sunfire Aegis + Randuin's Omen alone will put you around there, leaving you open to be more durable.
Also, have you considered Wit's End? I never play shen without it anymore, as it turns him from a tank that you can ignore once the taunt duration has expired to someone who does real damage. Remember that attack speed lowers the CD on his passive, which does real damage all game. Also, his passive restores energy, which means you will be able to Shadow Dash much more often in a fight.
You don't have to do everything like I've said above, but I think they're all worth taking into consideration.
+1 Not a bad start at all though (and you should turn on the require comments to vote, or you'll get trolled pretty bad.)
