Caitlyn Passive Ability
Introduction
Greater Mark of Desolation. These are great. It's a must have for any DPS build. Best reds for Caitlin. I wouldn't recommend any other choice.
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration. Caitlyn sometimes has problems with mana. These solve it. I highly don't recommend replacing these with other runes as this helps you harass for extended periods of times and can keep you in a lane longer because you won't have to go back to base because you were out of mana.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction. Good for escaping by decreasing the cooldown time of 90 Caliber Net.
Can be replaced with Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction for better early game results or Greater Glyph of Scaling Mana Regeneration for even more Mana regen. (:
Greater Quintessence of Desolation for even more armor penetration. (:
Can be replaced with Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed for extra movement speed. With this extra speed you'll be uncatchable by any Sivir or Corki. Also it helps with chasing and getting to the fight faster. :)
Swapped Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed for Greater Quintessence of Desolation thanks to some feedback from Frostmourne316

As a starter I like to grab a
Doran's Blade because recently I've found the early game benefits so helpful that it's worth having to trade off later in the game.
Always go for Berserker Greaves. If CC is a problem buy a Banshee's Veil
The Black Cleaver can be replaced with
Madred's if they have high health tanks like Vladimir and Cho' Gath or
Last Whisper if they have High armor tanks like Rammus or Malphite or a second
The bloodthirster if you are raeping face (:
or
Banshees Veil if you are having trouble with Casters/CC
If the game lasts so long and you just have a couple thousand gold lying around kinda just sitting around you can replace your Berserker's Greaves with a third Phantom Dancer!! You will still have a high amount of movement speed but with moar AS and a Crit chance that goes straight past the 100% mark. Thanks too BlackwingArmedWing for recommending this! (:
Item Sequence changed to get Bloodthirster before Madred's Bloodrazor thanks to the tip from KSeok ;)
Removed Madred's Bloodrazor from the core build and replaced it with Bloodthirster thanks to Verteros for hid diagnosis including Bloodthirster
Removed Bloodthirster (2nd one) From the core and replaced it with Black Cleaver Changed the sequence round a little bit.
Added a substitute late game item for Berserker's Greaves
Changed item sequence to grab an Infinity Edge before the Phantom Dancer

Headshot, Caitlyn's passive. Every 8 attacks you get a headshot which deals 150% Extra damage to Champs and 250% Extra damage to minions. To get the most out of this passive you need to have a high attack speed. If you fire rapid you will headshot a lot more often :) Stacks well with a critical hit with Infinity Edge
Piltover Peacemaker, a nice long ranged shot that hits multiple target's in a line. This is great for harassing and farming minion waves. It can hit enemy champs by a tower while being out of the tower's range making tower hugging less safe (for the enemy).
Yordle Snap Trap, nice little traps that help prevent the enemy ganking you. Not much I can say on this one. Just lay them in the brush where enemy champs normally pop out of and you'll be fine. :)
90 Caliber Net, an awesome escaping ability that can pop you over walls, slow your chasing enemy or boost you into safety. This ability has saved my life so many times it's just great!
Ace in the Hole, Caitlyn's Ult! This ability has epic range and will help you kill any fleeing opponent that's on low hp. This ability has a very short cooldown time for an ult and so you can use it many times in a game, re-assuring you that you can get the kill :) Don't use it until the Teamfight is almost over and your enemies are fleeing for thier lives.

I like taking Yordle Snap Traps now as your first skill., unless I'm mid. Snap traps are great for revealing ganks and zoning., After I max out Piltover Peacemaker and grab a point in 90 Caliber Net at level 4.
Pros:
- High Dps
- High Speed
- Can escape from a lot of situations
- Really good in team fights (if not targeted)
- Excellent farmer
- Rips apart squishies like they're nothing
Cons:
- Very Squishy
- Probably won't ever survive if targeted
- Champ kills aren't easy without a Phantom dancer and BF sword. (thanks to KSeok for mentioning the tip)
