Introduction

Hello there, I'm here to present my way to play Tryndamere in the Crystal Scar.

Tryndamere story

There are those who choose not to live in one of the great city-states of Valoran. Instead, they live in remote locales, often as part of a nomad or barbarian tribe. While perils abound in these untamed lands, there is also great freedom in being removed from the politics of Valoran. Tryndamere was born a member of one of these barbarian tribes in northern Valoran. Even as a young boy, it was obvious that he would grow in martial prowess to become one of his clan's greatest warriors. However, as his clan moved south between the Howling Marsh and the Ironspike Mountains, they came across strangers in black garb, brandishing symbols of a beast's skull. Despite Tryndamere's pleas, his elder went out to speak with the strangers; they cut him down mercilessly. From there, they began to slaughter every man, woman, and child in the clan. Tryndamere, the sole survivor, hid under the bodies of his dead parents. Upon their bloodied corpses, he swore eternal vengeance on those who took his people from him - the assassins of Noxus.

To train himself, Tryndamere voluntarily served under all the great chieftains of the barbarian tribes, learning the ways of the barbarian warrior. Not only did this make him the man he needed to become in order to exact his revenge, it has also garnered him friends and allies among the most powerful barbarian leaders of Valoran. This recently allowed him to unite the barbarians into a single, powerful force - all under his command. Now he has joined the League of Legends to earn enough influence to find a permanent home for his people... and to slake his rage on the champions of his hated foes.

''The next true power will come from the far north, and it will involve Tryndamere - one way or another.'' -Graccus Mightstone, League Senior Political Scholar.

So, Tryndamere is the king, he is stronger than you, and he let you be choosen by you. Why will you not use the power of the king ?
Don't forget 1 thing, you're the only king here.
(Yup, Jarvan IV is a prince.).

It's not my favorite champion but I love him in dominion, he has some mobility with Spinning Slash and awesome damages.

Runes

Marks

I choosed greater mark of desolation because you're one of the best AA champ, so, to do highest damage, you need to take these runes.

Seals

I personnaly use greater seal of vitality because I got a little amount of life so I prefer to survive when I don't got Undying Rage.

Some Tryndamere players choose Greater Seal of Critical Damage because they do more damage on crits, think you always do with tryndamere. But less than 10% crit damages more sound useless for me.

Glyphs

I use Greater Glyph of Armor because I'll not buy defensive item during the game. I like these runes because they offer you some of sustain with the Bloodlust.

Quintessences

I use 2 Greater Quintessence of Health to resist when I got focused (it's very helpfull at early game) and 1 greater quintessence of desolation to have more armor penetration.

Masteries

I dislike classic masteries for Tryndamere (21/9/0 etc...)
I take Brute Force to hit a little bit more (really a little but why taking ap ? :D).
I take Alacrity , to hit faster and to dislock Weapon Expertise which are very usefull.
I take deadlines to dislock Lethality .
I take Vampirism to be more competitive 1v1 vs a non-king char.
Havoc for the 1.5% damages which can do the difference coupled with Executioner 7.5% damages are fine.
And Sunder obviously for the armor penetration.
I take 6 point to Resistance & Hardiness because I don't got mana and spawn time are short in dominion.
I also take Summoner's Wrath to increase Ghost & Exhaust.

Pros / Cons

Pros

+Carry a game if well played.
+Free assist by using Mocking Shout.
+Free kill by using the same Mocking Shout.
+Is a King.

Cons

-Useless if you have a bad start.
-Can't slow ennemy if he runs away.
-You need to leave the battlefield if Ashe wants you. She's your Queen obviously.

Items

I begin with the Zeal because it give more MS and AS with some crits. Then I take Berserker's Greaves to hit faster and faster. (If you dislike these boots, you can use mercury treads.)
An Executioner's Calling for crits & lifesteal. (this item is underrated, use it on irelia and see her crying.)
after it I go on Sanguine Blade if I really need more Lifesteal because I lose at 1v1. If you've the advantage, choose the Infinity Edge.
After Infinity Edge/ Sanguine Blade, buy 2 Phantom Dancer for some mobility (never finished the 2 Phantom Dancer dominion is too short.).
You can buy some situationnal items like Last Whisper if ennemy stack armor. And armor/magic resist if you die often.

Skill Sequence/How to use

Bloodlust> Mocking Shout> Undying Rage> Spinning Slash
Bloodlust gives you some damages
Passive: Tryndamere thirsts for blood, gaining 5/10/15/20/25 Attack Damage plus 0.15/0.2/0.25/0.3/0.35 per 1% Health missing. This spell give you also a powerful health when you have fury.
Active: Tryndamere consumes his Fury, restoring 30/40/50/60/70 (+1.5) Health, plus 0.5/0.95/1.4/1.85/2.3 Health per Fury consumed.
I max Mocking Shout second for the snare/reduction damage.
Then Undying Rage for some obvious reasons.
Finally I max Spinning Slash because I don't need some levels for a dash used to flash in/out.

In fight, engage with Spinning Slash then use Mocking Shout. Heal with Bloodlust when it's necessary. "Oh, I've killed an ennemy :O". If you have some complications, use your Undying Rage to survive and "Oh, I've killed an ennemy :O".

Summoner Spells

Ghost : It's dominion best Summoner Spell in my opinion. Coupled to the MS boost on the map, you're very speedy.
Exhaust : Big snare & damage debuff, like my Mocking Shout so what happen if I use exhaust then Mocking Shout ?

Early game

Pick Tryndamere. Wait the game begin 10 minutes because ally Evelynn got a wooden computer.
Ask your mates who goes at bottom lane.
Option 1: someone say "I go bot".
Say "Ok" then go top with the 2 others chars and the 3 fps Evelynn.
Option 2: nobody say "I go bot"
Say "Ok" then go bot alone like a little Amumu.

Fight for the Windmill which is the northern point in the map. If your team don't win, defend the Refinery/Drill (depend of the team.)
If you won the first team fight, cap the Windmill then use your enhanced recall
Buy the Berserker's Greaves and try to defend the Windmill or push to cap the Refinery/Drill.
If your botlaner got some complications, you could help him, but always keep 2 guys on the top lane to don't loose your Windmill too easily.

Bot

Buy Zeal then go to the first point. Cap it then go where the 2 bushes are. try to harass your opponent and push at the same time to capture the opposite point the faster you can. if you got some difficulty, play safe. At level 6, you can kill your opponent because you've Undying Rage. If you killed him, try to cap the point then back & ask a mate to protect the point.

Mid game

You've some kills, some gold & some stuff. already hit strong with crits & have 1.3 attack per second. You can kill some ennemy who are not safe to earn more gold and make ennemy nexus lose HP. Try to play as a team because ennemy team will gank you sometimes.
If you see someone trying to cap your points, you need to protect it. Rush on him, kill him, and recap the point.
at this moment of the game, you're not always on the botlane, you can teamfight.

End game

" Tryndamere is legendary"
At End game, you kill them all. Like in Mid game, defend/capture. You deal very some damages with your Phantom Dancer, your infinity blade, your Executioner's Calling & your Sanguine Blade.
Try to cap the maximum you can & go defend when nobody can. You're a kill machine, don't forget you're are the most op champ for some kids who don't know what is a stun/exhaust.
See them raging and win the game.

Teamfights

Tips

You're low life and don't have Undying Rage during a teamfight ?
You can use Mocking Shout then back to earn golds + assistances. The debuff will give you an assist. Be careful at using this tip, don't risk a death because of me ;).
Spinning Slash make you jump over every wall you want, use it to runaway easier.
Undying Rage lasts only 5 second, use it the latest you can to make kids crying.
Bloodlust gives you some heal. It heal better with some rage so when you want to heal, attack some creeps to have a better heal. like Mocking Shout tip, be careful, don't die because of this.
